Kelly Talavou #69.....This is the guy the Jets' need in the middle. He is that immovable object at NT. He's a beast. Jets' should try at all cost to pry him from the Falcons. This guy wasn't even drafted. He signed with Falcons as a free-agent. This guy helps Jets' get to the playoffs & frees up the LB's to make plays. He's a MONSTA... Did anybody notice this guy in the 2nd half of last weeks game. As soon as he came in, Jets' running & blocking game came to a sudden halt. He brutalized the Jets' OL. Ht: 6-2 Wt: 334 Position: DL Date of Birth: 10/4/1984 Experience: R High School: Fountain Valley HS (Fountain Valley, CA) College: Utah
I would hope that if he was as good as you say he is, that he could push around our 2nd and 3rd stringers.
Sione Pouha, part two. I think they even played together at one point in college. The guy is only about 300 lbs....
Mangini wants athletic nose tackles, not fat immobile tackles. Hence the reason Sione Pouha dropped 25 pounds.
Did u watch the whole game. This guy will disrupt anybodys OL with his size. If u taped the game, watch from the middle of the 3rd qtr when he entered the game. The guy us a beast. He's easily 340 lbs.
Are you talking out your butt, or did u actually watch this guy yet. There's nothing immobile about this guy. Go look at the tape of the 2nd half of the game.
This guy is way bigger & better than Pouha. Please...Go watch the replay of second half of Falcon/Jets' game. And then come tell me.
That's Walter Thomas....Anyway...I'll wait to the informed posters come on line, cause these comments are from the un-informed, drunk by half-time, don't know much about football....peanut gallery.:rofl2:
I know who it is, I was being humorous. And as far as I know, Mangini is pretty happy with Robertson at NT, but I guess you're so well informed that you already knew that. You probably know better than Mangini what's better for the team too. Yeah I'm drunk by halftime of the 1PM games, I suppose you watch the NFL in your slacks while sipping tea and eating crumpets.
that's funny coming from a guy who thinks a player playing in the second half of the very first pre-season game is a stud. the fact that he was in the game shows that even the Falcons, who see him every day, aren't sold on his abilities and need as much looks at him as possible. but, hey, one guy who has watched him play one pre-season game against second stringers thinks he's the real deal. I think I will lean towards the side that sees him and knows him every day to evaluate his abilities.
I haven't seen him, but this guy Talavuo is the real deal. He just played in Jets'/Falcons game. Maybe you can see what I mean. He's #69 & with alot of hair hanging out of his helmet.
If he had done it against our first stringers it would have been a different story. You think since he played great against our 3rd stringers in a preseason game he will become a dominant force against real NFL players in a game that matters.
Jets gained 74 yards on 18 carries in the second half, that is over 4 yds per carry by the back up RB's. Looks like he needed to do some more disrupting.
He may have come into the game in the 2nd half, but boy did he make a splash. Ask the OL that had to try to block him. This guy has to be double-teamed. A prerequisite for a good NT. :breakdance: Remember Brett Favre...He was also traded from the Falcons & also played in the 2nd half as a rookie ? Its not when u get in the game, its what u do when u get inthere. :rofl2: :breakdance: Also...The Falcons are deeper at the DT positon than the Jets' & he is lower on there depth chart & must earn his way. I bet he plays earlier this week & the coming weeks to come.
