1.17) Vontae Davis, CB, Illinois. Would've been perfect had Brandon Spikes declared because then we would have wound up with him or Maualuga. I think this is a good value pick and would give us a very good starting duo with Revis and Davis. The ability of the two of them to cover down the field as well as help support the run will allow Ryan to blitz the front 7 more often and continue his goal of attacking the quarterback.

2.20) Patrick Chung, S, Oregon. A very good all around safety prospect who would look good next to Rhodes. Would round out our secondary very well in time and even if he didnt start right away is an excellent special teamer. Very good at coming up to support the run as well as good ball skills I think he'd be a more then solid pro in this defense.

3.12) Brian Robiske, WR, Ohio St. His numbers dropped once Pryor took over for Ohio State but he is a very talented receiver. Doesn't have great downfield speed but has solid size at 6'2 207 and has been having a very good Senior Bowl week.

4.15) Pannel Egboh, DT/DE, Stanford. Tremendous athlete and great size at 6'6 280, with the right coaching and beefing up he could be a force as a 3-4 defensive end. Once you get to this point if you can get a player with Egbohs kind of upside I think its worth it.

4.18) Andy Levitre, OG, Oregon St. A bit smaller then you'd prefer at 6'3 317, by all accounts he is a very tenacious player and plays with a nasty mean streak. Wouldn't be a starter right away but would provide some depth on the interior of the line.

5.19) Jasper Brinkley, ILB, South Carolina. A first day pick two years ago before suffering a very bad knee injury. Still managed to have a very good season for the head ball coach and if he's fully recovered at 6'2 267 would be a perfect inside 'backer next to Harris.

6.20) Cullen Harper, QB, Clemson. Once was a very highly touted QB prospect but now is a borderline 2nd day pick. You never know with picks like this, similar to the Ainge pick last year, low risk mediumlyl high reward.

7.21) Andre Brown, RB, NC State. Good size at 6'0 224, nothing special but is a pretty good receiver at a big size. Could be a very poor man's Derrick Ward.

I don't think we'll take DBs in the first two rounds, I like all those prospects though. Also, I'd have a big problem with us just wasting another mid-round pick on a "project QB", don't they have enough of those? I think first round we'll go front seven, the second round maybe with a DB. Also I like Ramses Barden over Robiskie based on size difference and potential. Overall, I would be pretty happy at the end of the day though.

Maybe go linebacker or WR with the second round pick other than that it looks good

Cooler....nice effort. I always like to see explanations with players being selected for mocks.

Davis is ok with me, but I'm hoping for Sean Smith. No doubt the Jets need to upgrade the secondary.

Robiskie is a good solid receiver, but IMO, the Jet's need to get a receiver with more size in the 6'3"-4" range. Robiskie may still be available in rd 3 and would be a good value, his stock has dropped some cause Pryor wasn't very efficient getting the ball to his receivers this year. Robo is a great guy, I met him once after a OSU game, very well spoken intelligent kid.

Egboh....was in my mock last month, could be a diamond in the rough, I like his potential.

Brinkley........I'd take a shot on him in a heartbeat, I think he's going to be a fine player.

Cullen Harper....not a fan at all.

If Vontae Davis were selected the Jets could move Lowery to Safety. So I don't think we'd need Patrick Chung in the second round.

I would love to pick up a big RB in the late rounds. Andre Brown would be fantastic in the 7th. He'd be our #3 RB and would have the size to fill in for TJ very nicely.

I'd also be thrilled to get Robiske in the 3rd. I think he'd be great value there. The kid is much farther along than most college WR since his Dad was a pro WR. A big possession receiver who does all the little things well.

The Jets won't be taking a late round QB. That is unless we dump somebody first. Ainge could be a target to get let go. He never showed anybody anything.

I like the picks because some of them are in my mock as well.
Egboh will be available later in the draft.
No way Brown is there in round 7.
I just dont see Levitre getting past round 3 - he might go in the 2nd.

If I were Ryan I would try to at least solidify one side of the field. This draft is rich with LB OT and DE. I would go DE and LB with my first two picks. The DE will convert to a standing Pass Rusher. We need to get pressure on the QB
