    I heard from the grape vine that the jets have signed the big ugly Norman Hand to help clog the run.

    I don't know about that. If I'm not mistaken (and I may be), he was released by the Giants last year because of a myriad of injuries and didn't play at all last year. He's got to be about 35 now. If true, simply a stopgap move and another big body for the rotation, wouldn't classify it as "excellent" myself. We will see....

    The only thing I could find on him was that the last time he played was Dec/2004.

    he's 34, and hasnt played since '04.... what can he offer us? He doesn't know the play book and he probably isn't in shape, whats he going to offer us?

    I was surprised at how well a 35 year old Bobby Hamilton has done. I think athletes are starting to get older.
