3 minutes ago - by Eric Gilmore - Report: Jets make offer to Cromartie The Jets have made an offer to CB Antonio Cromartie, according to the Star-Ledger. The five-year veteran signed a one-year deal with the Jets in 2010 after four years with the Chargers. After losing CB Nnamdi Asomugha to the Eagles, the Jets need a solid corner across the field from CB Darrelle Revis. Jets RapidReports
I know I'm breaking balls here, but this needed a thread? And Jenny Vrentas was the one who broke this anyway.
haha don't beat yourself... it's just a little stressfull to see a new thread for every news. Thanks for taking it to the FA thread...
you guys are hard with the ball busting- figured things get taken pretty seriously around here... not sure rules as to what can be a new topic and what can't... not trying to do any harm
General criteria is "if there's already athread on it don't start a new one" but almost everyone learns it the hard way (including me)... someone will always bust your balls on this site no matter what you do,,, but it's hard to get banned for something like this so just don't worry about it and move on
This. I didn't mind seeing that the Jets have offered to Cro, It will get buried in the general thread.
I am guessing that they offered him close the same deal that Joseph got, which means that they are going to to overpaying him. But if he fits within the budget, than we need him!
I'll reserve judgment until I see the numbers, but I don't like the idea of signing him at $8 million or above, which it will almost certainly be.
It really is a necessary evil, but as I mentioned in another thread - something about the idea of Cro, Aso and their agent planning this all out rubs me the wrong way. That means Cro would have known we had no chance at Aso and let the Jets put their operations on hold anyway.
