    This is a great signing, someone I wanted right from the jump and should shut a lot of people on this board up. We have no idea what's going on in that front office day to day. None.

    Beachum, Carpenter, Johnson, Winters, and Ijalana. Not too bad, means we can throw a young QB out there without him fearing for his life. Now all we need is a young QB who won't make Jets fans fear for our sanity.

    It's not too good either. I hope the team drafts another ol in hopes he'll work out long term.

    He's an alright LT.

    If Ijalana is this team's starting RT, Art Shell will probably disown his Nephew because you have to be pitiful to let Ijalana beat you for a job.

    I'm really hoping Shell becomes a solid starter and Ijalana serves as decent depth.

    He'll have to beat out Beachum or Ijalana. It's certainly doable but by signing those two, the Jets are saying they don't have total confidence in him.

    Disagreed. Competition for the young guy is not a bad thing, can't just hand him the starting job.

    Jets are without a 4th round pick this year because of Shell, they have faith in him......You don't trade up for someone in Day 3 by giving up a future pick if they aren't in your plans.

    I just hope everyone doesn't flip out when they see the $. All the LT that have been signed the last couple days are getting paid big time. It's going to be a big contract but as many have stated we needed an LT no matter the cost.

    Not to mention O-line depth is crucial in the sport. Can't just have 5 guys and be satisfied.
