I would just put this in existing threads, but there was a lot of them. "Patrick, he's like those guys in terms of so competitive. I think anything that was perceived to be frustration I'm sure is just a result of his incredible competitiveness. With him, I'm sure after I look at the film, which I haven't looked at as of yet, there's going to be some stuff where he probably should have got it, some stuff that were great reads, progressions. But I can tell you, watching collectively, that's true with all the guys." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jets | Mangini discusses running game Fri, 16 Jun 2006 16:46:51 -0700 New York Jets head coach Eric Mangini was asked if the team's offensive system dictates having a player that can carry the ball 30 times a game and he replied, "With the system, both offensively and defensively, we're going to cater that to always play to our strengths. It's going to be different week in and week out so the role for any player could vary. It could be 50 runs, 50 passes. We're always going to try to assess where we're strongest, where they are weakest and how we can attack their weaknesses." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jets | Mangini discusses Martin's rehab Fri, 16 Jun 2006 16:42:25 -0700 New York Jets head coach Eric Mangini commented on RB Curtis Martin's (knee) rehab Friday, June 16, "Curtis is on target in terms of rehab, doing everything we ask him to do. When asked if Martin was limited, Mangini replied, "Every single guy that is injured, we set up a program for. We follow that program. The most important thing is for all our guys to be healthy. We have a very good medical staff that's spent a lot of time with any player that is injured. We have a program. We follow the program. This guy really doesn't want anyone to know what's going on. It's good to see a first time coach who isn't so open. Herm would tell the media damn near everything, asside from the most important thing which was Penny's injury.
Snapsots are great, but I have to say I've been impressed with the coverage of the minicamps on the official site so far. Much better than in the past.
