I kinda like the guy and was hoping we'd look at him. If they sign him I think it means we are backing off on going WR in the draft. This is the only source I've seen for this so far. http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2015/03/jets_interested_in_free_agent_receiver_cecil_short.html
Shorts is good but is always injured. 1 year prove it type deal and Id go for it but I have a feeling he can get a better contract than that.
I'm a big fan of Shorts. He will be cheap considering his constant injury problems. One year, prove it. Would be a very solid addition.
Why are we always bringing in Wr's that are trying to comeback from injury? It's like always buying a car from the corner buy here/pay here lot. You go there when your credit sucks but if you have good credit, you go to the dealer and try to buy new. I think the Jets should just "buy new" this draft.
You guys have to realize that teams only need about $3-4 million going into the draft with the new rookie contracts. We no longer need close to $10 million. @BrianBassett FYI rookie class salaries are extremely low. Expect $3-4MM cap space for #Jets.
I'd really like to know where we stand while assuming Kyle Wilsons release Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
...ummm, why???!!! The last thing we need is another FA receiver now that we have Marshall, Decker, and Kerley. This would be a waste of cap space.
