I came across this article recently and found it intresting,do other NFL teams do this type of thing?Among complaints were Vick, the stadium, direction of team,Revis,Idzik and so on http://nypost.com/2014/04/12/jets-held-focus-group-to-listen-to-fans-complaints/
People need to stop wasting there time going to shit like that. They don't care what the fan has to say and they shouldn't care.
^^^^ haha I know, right? The entire focus group was adamantly AGAINST signing Vick, so what do the Jets do? The go out and sign Vick. Maybe the focus group should have demanded price increases.
It specifically said it was not designed to poll roster moves, and that it was brought up by the fans. They don't care about fan opinions on roster moves. What they do care about is making money, and when fans are bored with game day experience is when that happens. The stadium will always be full as long as it's fun, it doesn't matter if people don't like one player.
Feedback from clients is sometimes painful but generally very useful. At face value, this is a good thing. And seems unusual for a team to do this. Is there precedent?
Do you think " the jet organization " held a focus group to benefit you the fan or them the corporation ? This is comical,,,,they have not given a $hit about the fan, and the game day experience ,or access to any stadium / wear house level from day one,,,,,the ticket office has been lying to fans and season ticket holders for years now,,,,do you really think this group session was held because " they wanted to work things out " and actually " care " ? Man I only wish I was at this smoozefest !
People are always going to complain about the prices they pay to go see entertainment. If you asked the average movie-goer what they thought about the price of going to the movies they'd blister your ear with their response. If they stop going you lower the price of going. If they don't you maintain the best price level you can. The days of value in paid entertainment are long gone. It'll take another depression to bring them back. When there isn't enough money out there to buy the tickets the prices come down.
No problem. I think we all sometimes in our fandom forget that the NY Jets are a business and if they see business starting to wane they are going to want to know why.
Totally agree. To assume a business wants to hoodwink its customers is silly. The system is flawed, sure, but management generally appreciates the importance of satisfying clients. They will only go 'so far' to do that, but its certainly a goal. And a few grand to gather some data is nothing.
Gee whiskers I was not invited. I'm sure being a STH & fan since 1965 they would surely want to get views from long time NYJ fans. Probably would was 2 cheap to pay my round trip air tix from TX + a overnight stay in a hotel/motel
Regarding personnel decisions, I would hope the Jets would do the opposite of what 20 Jet fans told them to do so I like the Vick signing even more. I did not get a PSL for the exact reason people are bitching about, they are a bad investment unless your team becomes a dynasty and lastly, what exactly does game day experience mean? The food, the ticket takers, the loud music???
Champ is a STH in name only. He is a ticket broker, he buys them and sells them every year so he can spend 12 months telling everyone we suck and he's the only one that knows anything because he goes back to 1969. The guy has not ever been to Met Life stadium., Do yourself a favor and ignore him.
