Watch the pass to Leon, if he had kept the ball he was home free! Take a look at it, fastforward to the very end and you'll notice that the safety would have missed the tackle completely... ah well still a hell of a play
Yeah with Mangold and D'Brickashaw in front of him too. Makes me believe even more this play was designed to be this way at the end with Leon getting the ball on that side of the field behind two linemen. Sounds crazy, I know, but look at how it was done ... They have a QB on each side, they reverse the field 3 times and the 3rd time you have speedy little leon getting the pitch with 2 linemen in front of him 20 yards from the endzone. This would explain why Coles didn't take a shot at the apparent lane he had after the first time the field was reversed and pitched it to Pennington instead.
I just watched that and I'm upset so bad, after all those highs of the game (onside kick, millers TD, Barlows TD to give us the lead, the last play), we got the L.
