They say as long as he is healthy and for the right price and Braylon has said he also wants to come back
I would like this move. He fits the bill as an outside receiver, he already has a rapport with Sanchez, and we could spend our first round pick elsewhere, and rebuild with Holmes, Edwards and Kerley in the slot. Maybe we can add a young receiver later in the draft, too.
I hope this doesn't prevent us from drafting a WR still. This might be the best class of WRs of all time and we really need to get one whether we bring back Braylon or not. Braylon and a 2nd to 4th rd WR prospect and our WR core is in great shape for next year and future.
Braylon said along time ago he would come back, he was injured last year and didn't really play, he must know that the Jets are the only team that are gonna pay him any kind of decent money, there's over 50 free agent WR, and he knows that he fits well on this team he has a history there he isn't that likeley to get a big offer from any other team. Not that we are giving him a big offer but the "cheap" offer will be better then other teams
This is a no brainer. He helps the run game, he wants to be here, he's got chemistry with Nacho and he's gonna be damn near free. Holmes, Braylon, Kerley, and pick up a project WR in 4th or 5th. Sounds like a plan.
Someone asked on twitter if Braylon would want to come to NYJ and he something along the lines of: yeah I loved the fans, they were great but they need to want me back. Some bills fan then asked if he would come to Bills to join Stevie Johnson and Braylon replied: "LOL" I would like this move if it is cheap. He can't be expecting much since he was injured and just cut. He would be great to put on the field for 1 WR sets since he is a better blocker than Holmes. Agree with LTJF that this shouldn't influence our draft except hopefully stop us for reaching for a WR.
i would love braylon back as well... but i still hope the jets can draft a big and fast WR in the 2nd or 3rd... maybe that stephen hill
Its great to know that the Jets are also interested in him. He is in fact the ideal fit for our offense.
Depending on who's on the board, I'd like the Jets to save that pick and use it on the other several holes we have to fill. I wouldn't mind a late round pick up though.
I think we need to stop living in the past, move on from Edwards and look to get younger and more explosive. If he played last year and was productive I would say give him a shot at a reasonable price, but I don't think the Jets need to use up a roster spot on Edwards.
