If you look at the RB history of the Jets, there are far more blunders than winners.

Since John Riggins, who won a SB with the Redskins, and maybe Freeman McNeil- the Jets have not drafted well when it comes to RBs. Adrian Murrell is teetering on the boderline.

Lamont Jordan and Leon Washington are nice selections, but arent "carry the load" guys.

Especially 1st day RBs. they don't pan out.

The rest are not that talented. I feel with a history such as that we should leave McFadden alone. The illegitimate child-having, fumble-prone RB.

    Don't let history repeat itself.

What's your point. You can't compare McFadden to any of them. They made one really bad pick in their history.

They’ve had a bad history in winning championships to but somehow I cant bring myself to find a new team to route for so I guess we’re all kind of screwed – eh?

According to ESPN, He has no fumbles in 3 years at arkansas. What the Hell are you talking about?

ESPN is wrong-- he has 23 Fumbles in 3 years. Thats almost 8 a year.

  6. I believe we're in position to take that risk if DMAC is the BPA and we cant trade down.

We have a good not great RB stable right now...we've filled most of our primary neds thus far in FA... DMAC potential is a risk we can take as a franchise trying to become elite.

Then again, He's got over 1.6k yards in two years in college. 1.8 the last year and 1.1 his freshman year.

and I don't see ESPN being wrong. Post link to where you got your information?

Every back fumbles it...except for Curtis Martin. Darren McFadden made up for those fumbles by rushing for almost 4,500 yards and 40 TDs in his career.

Who the fck cares how many kids he has...wtf does that have to do with playing football?!! Ricky Williams has more kids than god and he was the best RB in the league for two years straight. If anything, that retarded stat people keep throwing around could be argued in the other direction...and you got burned on fumbles, so your argument is bunk.

Two sites have confirmed 0 fumbles in 2005 and 06. while espn says 05-07 has no fumbles a darren mcfadden fansite has him with 0 fumbs in 05 and 06.

  11. I cant confirm or deny the fumble stats..but when i cane tell you, is that when you're the focal point of an entire o..and are playing multiple positions..you touch the ball so many times and are sucha target for the defense..you're bound to cough up the ball a few times.

People change history all the time....look at the "cursed" red sox.

yes this franchise has made terrible choices, and this video is a prime example

but lets change history, not repeat it...

I know it's true but from what i've seen no sites have recorded fumbles so I'll stand by my stats that I've currently found. Also, his fansite is 06 says he was 7-9 for a 230 passer rating.

Did you just say we should try to draft McFadden because his off-field issues are similar to Ricky Williams' off-field issues?

I like his stats, they say "great player" its my opinion and hunch he's not the hype he given. I don't think JaMarcus Russell is going to live up to his hype either. McFadden might be there at 6, but i don't think he's worth it. He doesn't impress me beyond a 9-14 overall pick.

Did-- I'm not in love with the kid-- i look at the fact that we have a tandem that can kill teams with the line we have now-- durable, reliable RBs... i'm not tying #6 money into this kid when he's got that boom or bust look to him.
