OK, Im probably going to get flamed for this...but I could care less When the Jets are winning, the sky is the limit and everyone is content. Players that are performing great are Gods, and the average ones are considered role players...life is good, the Jets forum is at peace, and we cant wait for the next season...Mangini is Mangenius for bringing us to 10-6, and Schott is the best OC in the league...Pennington plays good but not great, and.......well some people still think his bionic arm shouldn't throw another pass regardless, many feel he was responsible for the Jets making the playoffs. When the Jets are losing, the sky is falling. Aside from Champ, everyone bitches and moans about the last time we won the SB, and it wont be another 40 until we even sniff the big dance. Life sucks, and Kurt says he might give up sports altogether. Players such as Graham, Vilma, Hobson, Ellis, Thomas, Robertson, Barrett, and everyone except Mangold on our O-line needs to be replaced. Mangini has turned into Mangina, and many are calling for his head. Schott is the worst OC in the league, and should be fired as well. Pennington's similar stats to 2006 are terrible and should be benched because he sucks...not because the season is lost and Kellen should get reps....Kellen plays sub-par and should be benched for Pennington after 5 starts.... Are Jets fans Bi-Polar? Discuss.....
The way I see it, everyone's passionate about different issues, and, when that issue arises, tend to speak up.... So, the fan base as a whole is bipolar, but the individual fans are pretty consistent... Some fans feel the need to speak up when the team is struggling, others feel the need to S someone's D when it's winning.... And we all like to try to keep each other in check...
The bipolar tendencies are being carried down from the team as of late. You can't blame the fans for reflecting their team. I think most are logically realizing the overall quality of the suckage.
Fan opinion is certainly bipolar. I visit several boards. No matter where you go, there are more wild optimists and wild pessimists than middle of the road realists. Of course, depending on whether one is in Miami or New England, one might find a lack of one extreme or the other, and it gets hard to tell the common extreme from realism. But some boards develop real flavors. The Cowboy fans, after losing to the Patriots, stayed optimistic. They figured their flaws had been exposed. All they needed was a few practice sessions to fix things and a chance at a rematch. The Chargers board I visit has gone beyond bipolar to schizophrenic. Some of them are still living in last year's 14 and 2 daydream, while others are debating on whether to get rid of their coach first, or their quarterback. I just figure it seems to be more fun to be an optimist than a pessimist. The ability to deny reality has its positive aspects, but there is something to be said about wanting real change in order to get genuine improvement.
Yes....and you can tell by some of these threads "This Clemens Guy Sucks." "Face It - WE HAVE THE WORST COACH IN THE LEAGUE!" WTF?!?!
Anyone who spent months saying nothing but "bench Chad" and are now saying that he's our best chance against the Pats are clearly bipolar.
Sucking just like being good is all relative. You could have wanted Clemens because Chad sucked and now want Chad. There is nothing bipolar about that.
If we are either sitting on top the world, or the sky is falling, with no in between, then we are collectively bipolar...not much you can say to refute that
