If this guy can improve and replace Devito we will have an insane defensive line. Pouha played at a pro-bowl level last season, Wilkerson has the potential to do so this season, and I have high hopes for Coples.

I liked what I saw in the very brief action Ellis got last season, I thought he did pretty well for someone who didn't have a training camp and was relying almost purely on size and athleticism.

Don't get me wrong on Devito, he's a great player in his own right, but Ellis is younger and has a higher ceiling in terms of the impact he can have on the defense. Can you imagine a 4-3 line of Coples-Pouha-Ellis-Wilkerson? Pouha and Ellis both come in at 330+ and would demand double teams while Wilkerson and Coples use their length and athleticism to wreak havoc on the outside. Not to mention 3 of those 4 guys are guys who are currently in only their first or second season with the team.

    good news

and there won't ever be any second half of the sentence unless he screws up during the first half since that second half will get suspended as a result of good behavior during the first half

Maybe Ellis and Mayweather can share a cell and work out together....

Good news for the Jets, Good news for Ellis, but it doesn't say much for the concept of "equal justice under the law". Son go to jail.....but at your convenience. I doubt many felons get THAT option. Not that it matter much. If he served the full 45 days he'd only miss a few days of camp
