This might be a horrible thread, but It was an interesting idea to me.

I thought it would be fun to see what direction everyone thinks the Jets are going to go (with their 29th pick) in this years draft. We have had a very productive offseason so far, and the Jets are really set up nicely heading into the draft. We can go in a number of directions.

So.. I was curious, I was curious to see where everyone's gut instinct takes them in regards to the Jets.

I thought it would be fun to look back on this thread after the draft and see how right and how far off some of you were.

    So...

    My prediction.

My prediction for the Jets in the first round.

I think the Jets are going to trade up in the first round, run the typical quality over quantity approach and select Brandon Graham. I truly believe that he would fit well in our system, and that is the guy we will target come draft day. I'm not going to go completely out on a limb to predict how far up we go and with what team, but I truly believe Brandon Graham will be in green and white.

What do you guys think? :)

I think they will go offense. WR or RB despite the moves they have made in the offseason. I don't think they will look to move up this year, it would cost everything they have and it would only get them up a few places..

WR in the 1st doesn't make any sense. Unless Ryan Matthews makes it to 29, there is no RB at 29 that has any value.

Its defense or OL all the way at 29

I agree, him or Thomas depending on how things fall.

If both end up going well out of reasonable trading range, I expect us to sit at 29 just to see who BPA is, but ultimately trade back if no big-time BPA free falls.

You think that we have enough ammo to move up 25 picks to get Berry? Highly unlikely, great player but Mangini doesn't run the show in Cleveland anymore, we will not get a gift trade like last year! Graham is realistic, but as strong as this draft is, I think we will trade down and pick up an extra pick or two.

Whatever Tannenbaum decides to do will work out for us in some way. Even his seemingly unsuccessful moves have worked out in one way or another.

It depends on the trade up. Their are only two I guys who I would see Tanny trading up for and thats Earl Thomas or Brandon Graham. However, I dont think Tanny would trade up more than 10 picks to get either

I wouldn't be upset if the Jets traded up for Brandom Graham, they guy looks like a beast, Lamarr Woodley 2.0

Odds that Leon is used with another pick to actually move up in the draft rather than just try to gain an additional selection?
