Last night was the most excited I have been about football all year. I actually enjoyed watching a Jets game. The Jets played well and for the first time all year they looked a professional team. When Folk kicked that FG it felt like we had actually won an important game. That being said if Flacco cannot follow the tank program he needs to get the heck out of the lineup. He played really well and that scares me for the next 7 games.
Best case scenario for rest of the year. Play well and look competent but keep the tank alive and lose. To be clear tho I don't want to go 0-16. Hopefully jags win a game soon then we're clear to root for a Jets win
We could still go into the last game of the year at 0-15 with our 2nd game with NE. If we go into that last game with a 'full team', and that full team has had 3-4 games of full team experience playing together, we could easily win that last game. Better pray for Jacksonville to win another game....could come down to the last game of the year.
I am definitely not a supporter or believer in the tank philosophy but I never lost confidence that the Jets would continue to be the same old Jets. I wasn't really expecting them to need the entire 60:00 to prove me correct, though.
Hell no, he looked decent in TC, go with Morgan instead Or if we are really tanking say hello David Fales
I don't understand why they didn't have Morgan dressed. There's nothing for anyone to see with White. This is just another Gase move, favoring his less than average players because they're "his guys" over more talented guys. He needs to be fired yesterday.
I doubt anybody thought Luton was ready and he just passed for over 300 yards, granted the Cowboys one looked like shit the other week.
Honestly, IDK now that you ask. I thought he was a Gase guy though. Still, it's very curious why he would even still be on the team, let alone be elevated to be available for a game ahead of Morgan who has much more upside IMO. If you want, read this scouting report on White and draw your own conclusions (BTW: the video link referenced in the article aren't there, IDK why): https://www.ganggreennation.com/2020/2/8/21120326/scouting-jets-quarterback-mike-white
What a bizarre year for the Jets. In a game without Becton, Q, or Darnold, the Jets play their best game. Granted it was a weak opponent but still, it’s Belichick.
What a great game. It was the anti-Jets experience. Normally, I'm super excited that they are about to pull off an upset, on the edge of my seat, and then breaking remotes and TVs when the collapse starts. But this time, I expected it, and enjoyed the competence while fully knowing that the Same Old Jets would eventually show up - and as the original poster says....they didn't disappoint! Once the collapse started, I knew full well where it was going and was relieved that they didn't fuck up a good thing. Very strange year. So conflicted. Hard to actively root against them, but I can certainly be relieved afterwards with the result, without the anger, frustration, and property damage that goes with the SOJ Experience.
