The defense has showed me that they will battle tough for most of the season but dont have the qualities of a great defense, very similar to arod. arod puts up great numbers all year but is the worst clutch player in the history of baseball, just like the jets. when you DESPERATELY NEED a 3 and out or at least a punt somewhere in the drive, the jets just cannot come through, not even with fukin matt cassell at qb. After the Jets scored a TD, the defense was suppose to their part in stopping them and they couldnt. A great defense woulda stopped them cause they needed to at that point. Hate to say it, our defense is good, but definately not great. O and why does Bob Suttion still have a job?

I don't agree here. I thought they payed very well, but they are only human and must have been extremely tired after all the 3 and outs.

The Defense was the shining light... Thomas and Pace are doing a good job, Jenkins is a fucking beast... the CS make this team the New York Pussy Jets.

Defense saved the day. What the hell are you smoking?

Without the defense holding the Pats O in check, it would have been a blowout. With Brady in, it certainly should have been. First consider that the Pats had 4 drives that started past the midfield, unlike some other team they were playing today. With that, the Jets D actually held the time of possession to a minimal (less than 32 mins) They made stops, and forced FGs.

The offense was as bad as it could possibly get. It's a shameful bunch.

It's hard to play D when the opponent is consistently starting near midfield.

Againt NE our average starting field position was the 21 yard line while the Pats average starting FP was the 37.

Against Miami for us it was the 27 and for Miami it was the 34 yd line so in 2 games our D has had to face average starting FPs of the 37 and 34 yd lines and we have held our opponents to 33 points. Our D has been good, it's the O and STs that has cost us early in this season.

yes our did played great, only giving up 1 td when ne got good field position most of the game is something to be proud of, our offense needs to come together, and our specials teams...well i dont feel like posting all the vulgarity i would like to about our st play.

They started five possessions in Jets territory and ended up with 19 points. Come on.

The special teams unit was the difference in the game. NY started just about every drive at their own 20 while the Patriots started in Jets territory for most of the game. Favre's one interception did not help matters, but we all knew when we picked him up that it was a high reward / high risk situation. He's going to throw the ball up and he's going to throw TD's but he will also throw his share of INT's. That's just Brett. He is awesome though and will definitely lead us in the right direction. I'm not poking at the guy at all.

The Patriots did not kill us by any stretch. It was a very good game, but I must say that NY is inching closer to the Patriots. It is a very tough loss to swallow, but they have a chance to redeem themselves this coming weekend against a good Chargers team.

Hang in there Jet fans. Our day is coming!
