In the past, darnold was anointed the savor by our GM and coach. the guy to turn around the franchise. same with the "sanchize" this time around though Saleh gets it. it's not a rookies job to fix the team, it's the teams job to develop the rookie We have the most energy in the draft room Really liking what saleh and JD bring to the table in the way the operate. JD has drafted lineman in the 1st 2 years straight and traded up for a guy they had as a top 10 player in the draft to land him at 14 and protect his QB
I'm not sure there's another GM/Coach combination I'd rather have in a street fight than these two. I hope they shove Woody in a fucking broom closet though. Imagine being super pumped up after talking to Saleh and Douglas and then that guy jumps on the phone.
I have been saying for years that the club's culture need a major overhall...well IMHO it's arrived via Douglas and Saleh. I'll add its about ****ing time. As a 54 year vet, I couldn't be happier
Awesome thread. I love this new regime. Let Wilson adapt to NFL this year, let Saleh establish the "All Gas No Brake" culture. Next year, we will be in the playoffs I have no doubt.
we haven't had a GM and HC combo this potent and which gave me so much optimism since Jim Kensil (Pres and GM) and Joe Walton had us humming along in the mid 80's, the last great golden era of Jets football. Hopefully Saleh and JD can at least return us to those days, when this team had A LOT of talent on both sides of the ball!
I love all the catch phrases. Who'll doubt they are some of the best we've ever had. Plus we got a rookie HC, a rookie OC, and a rookie DC. We gonna be so great that...wait, I have clue what were going to be. But the catch phrases. Love them.
Yep. Absolutely love it so far! The fans who don't like it make no sense. Did you think the franchise was being run well before Douglas took over? He is clearly turning the Jets in the right direction. We don't know as much about Saleh yet, but he has a great attitude. I'm really happy with it all. Feels good.
Sorry. Its too soon for reality. Afterall, draft weekend is our SB. We only gave up one single pick to move up and take Tucker. Is that doing it right?
Well it is the truth, so it is a start at least Come on, as you say, this is our Superbowl, time for pleasant thoughts and dreams, September onwards is where these usually stall and turn into nightmares but until they do I'm good with giving JD the benefit of the doubt, he moves up and down that draft board like a pro, he is a 1000 times more pro than Mac could ever be. Look what he paid to go up 9 places and what the Bears did, what would you have rather given up?
Suspenders can be fresh in a suit setting if you're the only guy wearing them and not an old geek who looks like he'd eat a sandwich with a fork and knife. Unfortunately, Woody is that old geek.
