Credit to the depth and experience of the best O-Line in football! Our QB has all day to throw and actually try to go through his progressions! Oh wait......
I'm going to be the optimist here and say at least it isn't scrub no-names who are getting awards on us lol.
Well, not to pour cold water on it but you could argue that Carter, Babin & Miller became household names thanks to their efforts vs. Jetshmy:
You could but honestly, Babin has been violating QB's all season long, Carter is a pretty good vet who had some great seasons, and Miller is going to be a beast in this league for a long time. That being said, Hunter has got gangbanged by all of those aforementioned people.
Just trying to be funny. I agree w/Miller. Babin did come on strong at the end. I think the issue w/sacks is that the way the Jets' o is designed ( runs & short passes)its not a real risk for a D-Lineman to come charging hard on every play. Predictable play-calls when losing only add to the easiness of getting sacks.
Babin has in recent games looked like the Troy Polamalu of linebackers. Very unpredictable and a freelancing prodigy. Philly has done such a good job putting him in position to succeed.
That one sack he got on us where he lined up like an ILB and did a great inside stunt move to get past the LG was pretty fucking amazing to me. Sad that Juan Castillo might get chased out of Philly since that defense has actually played pretty damn well and I've seen a lot of well designed plays too.
That play is the one that sticks in my head as well, his footwork is phenomenal and his instincts are what they need to run the W9. God, I hate the Eagles for what I think they are about to become.
Tell me about it, wait until those young Linebackers develop a little more. Another thing thats getting lost with all the attention Babin is getting is that Trent Cole has quietly had himself an exceptional season as well with 10 sacks.
