Truly epic chants last night!! One of my Dolphag nemesis's claims there were only 10% Jets fans in attendance last night. He also claims that the Jets chant was not noticeable in the stadium.... Two things... 1- Can anyone verify this douche's claims? If that's true and it was 10% Jets fans, that's pretty damn sad for the state of Miami sports lol.. 2- Anyone happened to have a clip of that from last night? It was clearly heard 2-3 times in the second half. I checked Youtube, but I didn't find it. I'd like to plaster it all over his FB (he deserves it). Much appreciated!
It was clearly audible after our last TD, very, very loud. My buddy texted me saying...did you hear that?
I was their and your buddy is on crack, we had that going and a defense chant going which got pretty loud. When I looked around I saw a lot of green, and cute orange towels. lol
Good! That's what I thought, he says it was because all of the Jets fans behind the visiting sideline. Now, anyone got a copy from their DVR they can put on youtube? Appreciate it guys! If you were there and apart of that chant, you're the fucking man!
That was pretty epic then again Miami has a lot of people from NY. To hear that through the TV is mind blowing I bet dolphins fans were pissed to hear that!
Make no mistake, when it comes to sports, he's NO buddy of mine! Which means I tolerate him for about 1 month of the year.
The Dolphins have to have the biggest percentage of switch fans in the NFL at this point. There's no way the season ticket holders are going to give up their seats for the biggest rivalry game on the schedule and yet year after year the Jets seem to have about a third of the spectators on their side. That means a lot of the season ticket holders are closet Jet fans who go to see the Dolphins because they moved to Southern Florida and they like to go to football games. It's the only thing that makes sense given what we see. The Fins fans are nowhere near as well represented in the games up here, but the Jets fans are always at the games in Miami. I'm betting there are a lot of 15 year old Fins fans there whose dads, granddads and uncles are rooting for the Jets.
I agree with that. I was stationed in Tampa for a bit, and they had their share of fair weather fans as well, but I'm sure Miami is way worse. In my opinion, it's one of the worst sports cities in the United States (as far as fan base goes). Don't want to get too far off topic, but after the first 3 months of the Heat season, that place will also be a wasteland.
When I lived in Florida I attended this game every year & it appeared to me that about 30/40% of the tix holders were NYJ fans. Last nite it seemed to me the Phins fans were louder then I ever heard so I ASSUMED that the NYJ tix holders at the bgame was less then in past years
The J-E-T-S chant came through clearly on the TV several times last night. It was awesome to hear it too !
Tons of Jets fans. About 1 out of 4 tailgate setups were Jets fans. Once I got to my seats, I had Jets fans on every side of me. It was at least 50/50 in the 5 rows around me.
