must go 3-0 to finish at 11-5

this will drop dolphs to 10-6

if ne wins last three games they will finish also 11-5----jets will beat them out on better conference record 8-4 vs 7-5 and better division record 5-1 vs 4-2

but right now jets couldnt beat sara case school for girls

Contrary to popular beleif, those are not the tiebreaker rules. Head-to-head first, division second, but common opponents third, not conference record.

We have no margin for error - win out and we are in, drop one game, any game, and we are out. (Unless the loss is in Seattle and the Pats sh!t the bed in one of their games.)

No,we will win. We will beat Buffalo next week. After that,it depends on how much the Jets want it. Seattle is beatable. Miami we SHOULD handle, but it depends which jets team we see on the field.

unless the coaches start coaching..and the players wake up...we're in trouble.

I thought this would've happened after the loss to Denver....but seeing how the Jets played yesterday...this is a huge cause for concern.

I read in some other thread that Shaun Ellis revealed that there were "no adjustments" made at halftime yesterday...AYFKM??!!

I dont see us beating the Seahawks or the Dolphins, not the with the way we have played the past two weeks. Buffalo wont be easy.

Oh, to be a Jets fan.

i think the tie breaker rules are different when there are 2 or 3 teams in a tie....

i love the pessimism. The jets always play their best football when no one thinks they will. They also do the opposite when the fans are optimistic (The last 2 weeks)

Is your point that if we all hate them a lot in preseason and throughout the year, they will go 19-0?

The pessimism angle doesn't work for me. There is no excuse for the play of the last 2 weeks at all.

We still can win the division, but Mangini has to get his head out of his ASS and COACH! And the defense have to GIVE A DAMN about covering their man, and wrapping up the ballcarrier!

No i know it really doesn't mean anything. it's just after we started off 1-2, the board looked a lot like it does right now. And after the TENN game, we were all talking super bowl. We played terribly the last 2 weeks, but we all know the Jets are capable of much more. The bottom line is, there is 3 weeks left in the season and we are still in 1st place.

Let's hope we see the old team in the upcoming weeks. After all it's best to lay your eggs in the regular season than in the playoffs.

I know, but it is really hard to convince yourself that this team is capable of winning 3 in a row right now; even if all 3 games were against the Lions.

We can still win the division and we can still have a home game. We still control our own destiny with that.

Even if a wildcard team finishes with a better W-L record than us, the division winner is still entitled to the home field.

This is what is mathmetically possible. What practically developes is probably yet another story, because the way we've looked in the past two games, I have little confidence. We've been in control of our own destiny now since the Titans game, but are playing like we don't give a damn about it.

    Pathetic...
