"Jets win 3 straight games." That's the headline after this one, Who would've thought they would see that in 2017? I'm loving this team and this season in general. AND THE HOME OF THE J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!
The Jets have been confusing so far this season. Being that they've now posted two straight wins, the confusing result would be to drop the Browns game.
I'm calling it now.... We are winning next week to set up the game vs the pats the week after..... Then and only then will all this come crashing down.... Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
Road games are tough, they have to be flawless and right now that's not who they are. Jets make too many mistakes to overcome on the road.
And the Browns make too many mistakes to win a single ball game. Nonetheless a Cleveland win would be awesome we'd be 3-2 heading into our matchup against N.E & hey. Even if we lose. We'd still be 3-3 assuming we beat the Browns.
We could even have a better record heading in with a W over Cleveland. There is no guarantee N.E goes on the road and knocks off the Bucs in TB. That team is loaded with talent; just untapped.
I was wondering why this thread wasn't made. Turns out it was and I missed it! This is a classic trap game for the High Flying Jets. They can't overlook this struggling team no one gives a chance. Just kidding. Should be a good game though. McCown going for his first 3 game winning streak ever against his former team who dumped him for RGIII. I thought the Browns were going to be better this year. Not sure why they have played so bad. A road win would be nice for these young guys in Green.
A little surprised the Jets are 2.5 dogs here. I realize its on the road and the Jets have their issues but the Browns really do suck. Took the Jets and the points.
I'm trying not to be overconfident but I honestly believe we're a much better team than Cleveland. I look at their stat sheet and I don't know how they're going to move the ball much. Who are we supposed to be gameplanning for? Duke Johnson?? And their QB is playing worse than any QB in the league. Outside of Joe Thomas, both the Dolphins and Jags probably have 6 or 7 players that are better than anyone on the Browns roster, and we outplayed them. As long as we don't kill ourselves with "Jets idiocy" all game, I don't see the Browns beating us helmet on helmet. 26 - 13 JETS
Part of me is hoping that they continue to show improvement by players and coaches, and part of me wouldn't be unhappy if they lost and captured the tie-breaker for draft position with them.
I admit I've been increasingly skeptical about Bowles, but should he continue demonstrating competence and improvement as a coach, it would make a 5-7 win season much more bearable. Mac's proficiency with the waiver wire, very early returns on the 17' class, and veteran purge has him trending up at the moment too. The franchise QB is still the biggest missing piece regardless, but I would be encouraged if the team and coaches continue to perform well. With that being said, I can see them coming back to earth with a surprise loss this week. A win against Cleveland will make the week after much more interesting.
We're writing off the Browns the same way the Dolphins and Jaguars were probably writing off the Jets, not gonna sit here and say that we are going to be 3-2 this time next week, it's the Jets and nothing surprises me when it comes to finding ways to lose.
I'm wary of considering this game a sure win for us. We can't relax and just expect them to give us the win. Also, I feel like this is the end of the ''feel good'' part of our schedule, so enjoy it while it lasts and 3-2 is standing in the table, because it's gonna be a rocky ride after this.
Expectations are the highest I've seen in a while. Which means if we lose this game this place will go apoplectic.
it's funny cause before the season people here were saying we are way worse then the browns and i was saying otherwise. funny how things change
