I figured the Lions would hang with the Jets for a half or well into the 3rd before the Jets pulled away. Game is setting up that way.
If we can somehow score a TD to open the half, their crowd will totally fade out of the game. They are expecting to lose now.
Let Sanchez and the WRs that you've given up draft picks for do what they do. Edwards is a hot hand, let's do this. Then that'll open up the running game. WE're starting to hit Stafford.
i think its a matter of the offense opening things up. last week they came out conservative and it didnt work. this week the conservative calls have not worked. the deep ball works. the first game they came out conservative, it didnt work. since then, we let sanchez throw it up, it worked. if it aint broke dont fix it. hopefully its resolved now coming after the locker room. rex needs to be less afraid of running up the score.
Defense has been great aside from the opening drive. Revis has made some awesome plays. Coleman had a great defense against an underthrown ball on that last drive. Blitzing has been effective. Need to keep it up. The offensive line HAS to open some holes up for LT. Need some big running plays. Gotta eat up some time and get a long drive going to start this half. Keep their defense on the field and ours off.
For me, a wins a win. I don't care about the stats or how much we win by. I'd rather be off the radars of the media as much as we can. Anytime I hear anyone suggesting or asking if the Jets are the best in the AFC or whatever I cringe. All that matters is winning the division and trying to get homefield advantage.
