Anyone who took the Jets +3.5 has to be pissed! Yes, Greene taking a knee at the 1yrd line was a good call. Not kicking a FG as time expired (which would have given the Jets a 4 pt win and cover the spread) was also a good call. Why chance a block and run back? BUT, you KNOW there's a few really pissed off gamblers today! I've heard many times that coaches NEVER pay any attention to the 'spread', and to even appear to do so would be career suicide. About the only coach who gets away with it is Belicheck who keeps his starters in to pile on and extra 30 points at the end of a blowout!!!! That's all!
Yes, because when they Patriots are up by 21 points, they pile on because they are concerned about beating the 7 point spread.....
What a stupid post. This weird way to twist the point spread into an anti-BB or anti-Pats topic makes me wonder if this forum needs some kind of education requirement.
Coaches play to win the game. They don't care about beating spreads lol. Greene learned from his mistake in the 2010 playoff game when he should have slid and gone down at the one. Greene didn't make the same mistake twice and he's been pretty decent as of late. You can guarantee he's back next year at a decent price. Looks like he's finally starting to get it. He's making cuts and changing direction instead of just plowing forward. He's improving his game.
jees, if you are refering to the last blow out, what did you expect them to do with around 3 quarters left, run on every down?
I never comment on threads. but this thread is an epic fail. OP is clueless. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=60181 shut it down mods hmy:hmy:hmy:
suckchise told green to go down so McElroy's stats wouldn't look too much better than his. 3 picks look at lot worse after a guy who took NO snaps with the starters all week long puts up 2 TDs in a real game. " mark had a really good week in practice" - what a crock!
One would think if you decide to lecture someone on gambling, you'd check the v-cash score board first. Loser!
