Your first round looks very accurate. Painfully accurate actually because all the guys I'm hoping for aren't there at 25.

Meachem over Bowe? I'm not a college expert but the consensus seems to be swinging the other way.

All in all, it looks very solid. But do you really think Alma Francis is going to drop that far or are you just hoping?

Come April, probably not, unless he has poor workouts. I had him falling that far mainly because I overlooked him for other teams.

You really think our front office would take a wr in the first round with all of the other areas of needs on the lines?

There is no way I see Michael Bush falling into the 3rd round

Well I assume that in free agency prior to the draft, they go out and sign a CB, NT and maybe a RT. If this happens, I think that getting a big, physical, speedy deep threat to work the slot would be helpful. Once McCariens goes, there is only Brad Smith and MAYBE Tim Dwight. A tall WR would do wonders for the passing attack. Plus, anyway you slice it, depth at WR will be thin. If Cotchery or Coles were to go down, we would be in trouble.

Also, I expect some kind of surprise from the Front Office when they pick at #25. I just have a feeling.

I love the Beekman pick in the 2nd, but I don't see them going offense with the first two picks when we have more needs on the other side of the ball. But it's worth repeating free agency will change everything.

If the Jets won't take DeMarcus Tyler because of character issues, the Bengals won't even scout him. Marvin Lewis and his staff won't go near any player who has done so much as cursed in his life.

Good job on the Jet's picks.

The only thing I would change is Bowe over Meecham.

I really like Beekman....smart kid and nice fit on our line. I've been singing the praises of Dan Bazuin for weeks.

Tank Tyler will probaly fall to rd 3..............the truth is surfacing about his past. Kind of funny you have the Bengals taking him :)!

Once the combines come around and the physical abiities of Bazuin (i.e. speed, quickness, versatility) are displayed against others at his position, I seriously doubt that he would be available at #57.

I would expect we would need to get him with opur 1st pick in the second round

Sidney Rice is a better prospect than Robert Meachem....I like them both, but Sidney would help out Chad more IMO just because he is the best I've ever seen at jump balls, and has hands just like Jerricho Cotchery.

    From Robscouting.com

    Positives
Plucks the ball clean. Big, soft hands, no drops. Great
hands. High points jump call, good concentration. One
of the best jump ball players in a long time. Very good
body control. Shields defenders from ball very well.
Quick off the LOS. Can stretch the D. Gets on top of
you quick. Good in the open field, makes you miss.
Good stem in routes. Willing to go over the middle.
Willing blocker. Has played in the Slot and Split End.

    Negatives
Some extra on his comeback routes. Not going to run away
from anyone, adequate acceleration and separation. Lacks
    quickness I/O routes.

    Summary
Sidney is an excellent receiver that is leaving school after his red shirt sophomore season. He has the height and is well
developed and has some room to get a little heavier. He has deceptive speed and can stretch the field but needs to show
better quickness in and out of his routes. Sidney is excellent in jump ball situations showing terrific hands and
concentration as well as leaping ability. He is a first round prospect that will offer a big time red zone threat. Rice is a
similar player to the New York Giants Plaxico Burress, JUST BETTER AT JUMP BALLS!!

I like our picks, but honestly, I doubt Woodley lasts until late second. Although I do like the Bazuin pick, I really don't think we can pass Woodley with our second 2nd rounder.

Also, I don't think that Steve Smith lasts until pick 32 in round 3.

On a side note, I don't think the Bengals pick is FORTIFIED unless you are talking about iron fortification in the Ahmad Brooks' jail bars.

Bush probably falls to far in this draft. It wouldn't surprise me if he went to Baltimore at #29...

Woodley was unimpressive at the Senior Bowl, from what I heard.

In light of the new Tank Tyler development, he probably will free fall at least to Round 3.

In terms of getting jump balls yea....they both have good hands but Key is probably more physical, while Sidney Rice is more of a finesse deep threat too. He is more of a playmaker IMO.

If the Jets were to take Meachem, or really any player, over Jarvis Moss, I'd probably have a nervous breakdown.

To most people, a WR over a speed rushing OLB seems crazy. And even I admit its an odd choice. However, Hobson had a solid season with what, 6 sacks? And Thomas had 8.5. To me, thats pretty good and I'm satisfied with those guys at OLB as starters.

What would be nice would be a situational OLB to come in on passing downs. So we waited for Bazuin in the 2nd round instead and got some depth at WR who can be a nice deep threat.

I expect a surprise on draft day come pick #25... And that might be it.
