Western Pennsylvania and Ohio come to mind, as do Florida, Texas and California. But this year, New Jersey might be added to that list. The Garden State has produced its share of NFL stars, but this year's draft-eligible group is one of the most talented I can remember coming out of the state. Up to five former New Jersey high school stars could be taken in the top 10 picks in April's NFL Draft, and as many as seven might go in the first round.... ( the rest in the link ) Eugene Monroe, Malcolm Jenkins, BJ Raji, three guys that could go top 5, all Jersey kids. New Jersey consistently is in the 2nd tier nationally in producing top college football players (after the big 3, right there with PA/Ohio), so it really was just a matter of time before they started really making an impact in the draft/NFL. Just think about how the old State U would be doing if they had more than just one of the guys mentioned in the above article.
Moreno is the name you will hear the most in future years no matter where he is taken in the 1st round.
Donald Brown....RedBank Catholic....I believe!!! I can tell you Ohio State is always heavily recruiting the state of NJ., but they usually lose out to Joe Pa.
Nope, I grew up on Long Island, live in Columbus, Ohio....moved out here after College. My Sisiter lives in Westwood, NJ (Bergen County)......have been up that way in the Fall and seen...Bergen C play Red Bank C about 4 years ago. Some good H.S. Football players on both teams. Ohio still has NJ beat.....there are a bunch of powerhouse Ohio High School teams.
Well there are a bunch of Christian Brothers Academys mine is in Lincroft New Jersey never hear of High Tech sorry
