    Jerod Mayo-LB- Patriots Nov. 14 - 1:10 am et

Patriots rookie LB Jerod Mayo recorded a game-high 20 tackles, including 16 solo tackles and two tackles for a loss in Week 11 against the Jets.

He also deflected a pass and was an omnipresent menace throughout the game. Mayo's numbers could have been even more remarkable had he not made a trip to the locker room in the first half. The probable Defensive Rookie of the Year is now the NFL leader in tackles.

he seems to do well in coverage too. pierre woods had a decent game for them also stepping up for the injured adalius thomas. i hate the pats but i have to give it to them, they get great production from their bench players.

I think he's easily going to win DROY. A new player to hate.

I'd give it to Chris Horton, but Mayo will probably win it.

Yup and if we drafted Mayo he'd probably be sucking knowing our luck and Gholston would probably be dominating.

Jones rushed for over 100 yds; Favre threw all over the field and we dropped 34 points on them.... Yeah he made a ton of tackles whoop dee do. Nobody on the Pats defense did their job last night including Mayo.

You mean he doesn't need years to learn the system and develop? Tell me more about this...

I guess Mayo is having no problem adjusting to the speed of the game, unlike some other rookie

looks like he will be someone we all hate soon enough. definitely gonna be great. hopefully gholston develops into as much of a beast on the outside as he is looking like on the inside.

I hate the pats but this guy can play some good football. He was all over the field. I was hoping Vernon would be working out a little better. What does everybody else think about #56? Does he just need more time to adjust or is over rated? I honestley can't tell one way or the other.:jets:

I felt the exact same thing on draft day. I thought he was too light for ILB in the 3-4. But this kid is going to be something.
