Does anybody else feel that the return of Jenkins to the middle will make a big difference in our pass rush? I don't feel this has been discussed or talked about at all. While the addition of a solid cover corner in Cromartie and a pass rushing specialist in Taylor is obvious I think Jenkins role in rushing the passer is something that is flying under the radar and hasnt received much attention.

Before his injury we seemed to be getting alot more pressure up the middle without sending the house. Pressure up the middle helps the edge guys by preventing the QB from stepping up in the pocket or having a QB with quick feet extend a play or scramble for a few yards. He also pretty much requires a double team to slow his push up the middle which frees up another defender. No one else on our D Line really warrants that type of attention. I know Jenks will come out alot in obvious passing situations but on those 1st and 2nd downs where the opponent decides to throw I think he can have a big effect on getting to the QB.

Imagine if we can add Odrick to this mix. This D will be even more sickening than it already is.

Sir, you have the uncanny knack for stating the obvious.
