Jeff Garcia is more than likely going to be released from the Lions. If we are going to get a veteran qb, I think we should take a look at Garcia. This guy is a little like Bollinger in size and speed, but the big difference is he can win games.

i agree. jeff garcia is a quality back up and can mentor our young qb's. He should be fairly cheap too. Probably the jets best veteran option on the market

Garcia hasn't been able to win games in years. He's the perfect example of what age does to players in the NFL, and why we're finally moving to younger players.

Jeff Garcia has a worse arm than Chad Pennington had 2 weeks after surgery.

    No thank you.

You guys know how much I hate Bollinger.

I'd rather have him start over Garcia.

Yes, please. It would kill two birds as well. Fireman Ed is lonely and looking for a new love.

Jeff Garcia will win games here. He certainly knows how to run and will have to a lot here.

However, I think drafting leinert or cutler is a chance you don't let go.

    Why?
He couldnt win games with the Browns and he couldnt win games with the Lions.
If you think that Chad is injury prone then Garcia is just as bad.
I would take a huge pass on Garcia.
If you cant beat out Harrington, how would he beat out Bollinger?

garcia would be decent because we need a QB who is mobile next year, because our O-line will probably suck

Ever seen him when the rush is coming at him? He ducks.. He gets the "deer in the headlights" look.

I think we should pass on Garcia. Bollinger is just as suitable if not better. If he actually got more than 0.3 seconds to throw the ball last season, he would have proved to be a decent backup.

Then just draft Vince Young. Or better yet, take Marcus Vick in the 7th rounder, and put him to get pounded on while our O-line develops. Hehe, couldn't happen to a better man.

I'd rather have Brooks as a backup.
