Heard it on the radio to just before. If Glazer is right, (im sure he is), then my reaction is that Rex is indeed done.

The relationship with Idzik must be not close either to, which is fine but obviously Rex probably know and hears stuff.

Did "the street" mention anything about getting some better players on offense?

Logic pretty much dictated the Jets needed to make the playoffs for Rex to get an extension with a new GM unfortunately. I just hope he goes to the NFC next year.

Strange thing for a guy to say who still has a job. I'm so mixed about the prospect of firing Rex. I can't say that I want it to be one way or the other because I think the Jets could be successful with Rex or without Rex. Hopefully it just all works out well. It usually doesn't with the Jets.

I don't know if I believe this. Not questioning Jay Glazer as much as who knows if Rex really believes this or if he's just trying to motivate the team since he knows the playoffs are impossible.

I will be pretty pissed if he's fired too...unless they replace him with a proven offensive guy. Cimini made a list of possible candidates the other day..

It'd be a bizarre 'motivation' tactic. I think this is just Rex's inherent honesty coming out.

How many more years can I tolerate this BS franchise? If they fire Rex it will be enormously difficult for me to go on supporting them. But I will - like we all do. We are all schmucks.

this kinda sucks, but i guess it had to happen. i think rex goes somewhere else and wins a super bowl, he just fell victim to a lack of talent here.

a couple questions i have are do MM and dennis thurman stay? what does this mean for geno? and obviously i wonder if we will look into any college coaches

The fact that Rex would announce this to his players (knowing it would get out to the press) is just a prime example that he is an attention grabbing blowhard whore who needs to go.

He was on the hot seat last year, we have a losing record. It makes sense.

Unless Cowher or Gruden is joining the Green and White, keep Rex... How can they build this front line like this and just let him go... I think he stays.. Idzik wouldn't have let him draft two defensive guys in the Top 15 of last years draft if he was planning on firing him..

We will more than likely lose all of them. Losing Marty and Dunbar would be huge.

If we hire another defensive coach - I will kill someone

These are my exact thoughts about what is going to happen with the coordinators. If Rex leaves, I really don't think it matters if thrumming stays or not. I'm more interested in what happens with MM and the rest of the offensive changes.
