Having mentioned some downside, it’s worth noting what one coach said about him. The coach said Cutler wasn’t just the best quarterback in the draft, but might be one of the best the league has seen come through in more than 10 years.

“This kid is an absolute, complete, bonafide mother … “ the coach said, using an expletive to punctuate his remark. “He makes throws that you just don’t see other guys in our league make right now. When he goes out on the field, it’s like when Clark Kent goes into the phone booth … Just put on his game film from Vanderbilt. You’ll be mesmerized.”

Really those are some pretty bold comment. Who was the coach?

Haha, that just might be the greatest overstatement I think I have ever seen. I'd like to see exactly where that coach is from that he's so "mesmerized" by Cutler's game film.

I know ... I really like Cutler, but that reeks of Gamesmanship ... some HC picking in the TOP 10 who wants the teams drafting high to take Cutler so a player he has targeted might fall to him

That's the beautiful thing about the media, they can make anything look however they want. I'd really love to see the context surrounding that whole comment.
