I can't think of anything more disturbing and cause me to stop rooting for the Jets then to sign this guy. I would rather not win a Super Bowl then have to watch him play for the Jets. Its not what he says in this article, its what he has said and done over the years. This would be selling your soul to the devil. That plus he's finished and over rated. Uggh!!! http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/view/98460-taylor-rips-jets-talking-to-dolphins Don't count on seeing Jason Taylor in a Jets uniform. The 34-year-old defensive end has been rumored as a target of the Jets, but he made it clear to the Miami Herald that he's not eager to put on green and white. I'd be very, very, very difficult," Taylor said about signing with the Jets. "At the end of the day, if I couldn't find a job anywhere else and the Jets called, I guess I'd have to retire or go play." The Jets reportedly have contacted Taylor, who played 11 seasons for the Dolphins before joining the Redskins last season. During his time in Miami, the six-time Pro Bowler ripped the Jets repeatedly and threw gas on the rivalry between the two teams. The Patriots also are looking at Taylor, and yesterday Taylor admitted he has been talking to the Dolphins about a possible return. "I never said it wouldn't be difficult to play for either, but the Jets are the Jets," Taylor said. "I've had a lot of history saying bad things about Jets fans. The fireman hat guy and all of those people in New York that are Jets fans aren't the ones working on Wall Street. I've said all of those things, so I've got to leave it at that." Taylor is referring to comments he made in 2004 before the Jets played in Miami. He referenced how he expected many Jets fans to be at the game, "a bunch of them chanting their [dumb-bleep] chant and all that other stuff, being the ignorant fans they are. I said it. I don't care if they get mad at me or not. They don't like me anyway. Quite frankly, I don't care . . . I'm just being real. I'm telling the truth."
This is one guy that would never be accepted by Jets fans. I literally want to throw up at the thought of that asshole in our uniform.
Fuck Jason Taylor, i read we had contacted him, but no deal is ever getting done, he can walk his stupid ass to the un-employment line.
How is that misleading it says in article Jets contacted him but hes not interested in playing for us
he never shows up when it matters, he's not a winner. this is a man who in 7 career playoff games he has ZERO sacks. he was the leader of a D that got humiliated annually in postseason. he talks like he's won 5 SBs and he's never even been close to a conf title game. Washington goes to the playoffs in '07 then they get Taylor and collapse, Miami was 1-15 and hadn't been to possteasn since 2001 they get rid of taylor and they win the division. I wouldn't take that overrated player if he came for free. he is basically the alonzo Mourning of the NFL. Couldn't lead a team when he had a chance but wants to jump on the bandwagon of other perceived good teams. He thought Wash would be better so he wanted out, Miami was good w/o him so he wants back in. No thanks.
The Jets are the Jets," Taylor said. "I've had a lot of history saying bad things about Jets fans. The fireman hat guy [Fireman Ed], and all of the people in New York that are Jets fans are not the ones that are working on Wall Street. I've said all of those things. So I've got to leave it at that." Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, New England Patriots, Jason Taylor
Good comparison. My lasting impression of Mourning in his prime was Patrick Ewing on one leg beating him for an offesnsive rebound, a basket and another rebound in the closing minutes of Game 7 back in 2000 to win it for the Knicks. Last playoff series we've won, by the way.
