Interesting pick. He's supposedly a terrific blocker, and is even projected to maybe switch to fullback.

Tight End | Senior | Wisconsin Jason Pociask
    Height: 6-3 | Weight: 266 | 40-Time: 4.82

    Official Bio

    Strengths:
An outstanding blocker, especially in the run game...Has the frame to pack on some pounds...Versatile and could play a number of positions in the pros...Team player who will sacrifice for the ultimate good...Smart and very technically sound.

    Weaknesses:
Needs to bulk up and get bigger...Does not have very good timed speed...Could stand to hit the weight room and get stronger...Did not get many opportunities in the passing game...Might not have a huge upside and may only be a backup.

    Notes:
Might also project to fullback at the next level and saw some action there in the Badgers bowl game against Auburn...Was overshadowed by Owen Daniels but he played his role and helped the team...An intriguing prospect due to his flexibility.

Yeah, with Baker and Jolley on the roster as receivers, and nobody as a blocker, this 270 pounder can definitely help out the run game

Yah he is going to be used for Blocking/ST/depth only. But immediate ST for sure and probably goal line sets.

I am not sure I like this pick. I think we could use some more help along the d-line or even more along the o-line. I haven't been too satisfied with the last few picks.

I really would like to see an OLB at some point, and I thought this would be McClover...but improving our blocking up front can't hurt.

i expect dressen to beat him out, but they are both similar players....either way, the "loser" of this battle will be used in goalline and short yardage situations....not a bad pick at all

Probably could have gotten him as a UFA. Kind of a waste of a pick IMO.

He had 7 catches last year. This pick makes absolutely no sense.

    Midwestern white stiff.

Look, I'm a white stiff myself, but we could have had this guy for a plane ticket to training camp. There are better players available. We don't need an H-Back stiff this badly. Let me get this straight- a guy who projects to be a blocker with limited athletic upside but who needs to get stronger? If we were looking for another stiff white guy, why didn't we take Bernstein, the Wisconsin fullback, who starred at Edgemont high school and can eat 60 wings?

Agreed. At this point, who will be our outside linebackers in the 3-4?
