Nice Work Jabba, overall it's good stuff, I just think that even though Mayo is shooting up draft boards all of a sudden, I don't seem him going quite that high, but that is just my opinion. Also I think when all is said and done the Rams go with Dorsey, which improves thier line two-fold because Carriker goes back to his natural DE position. So if you switched Chris Long to #3 and Dorsey to #2 I think you nailed the top 10. While I am not a Mcfadden fan, I am starting to concede that if he is there at #6 the Jets will take him barring a sizeable trade down offer. If Groves is sitting there for us at #36 we take it and run...
Excellent Post Jabba! I woud love Groves, but I do not see him sliding that far based on his minor heart procedure. JAX is going to nab him, if he makes it past the Texans.
Nice work. I like your Brohm pick in the early 2nd, although I have a notion that someone may trade into the late 1st to snag him... If Groves is not available, I would love for Hardy to fall to us at 36.
This would be perfect However, I'd hate having Brohm in the division. I think he'll be a stud in this league
I think Atlanta might trade up to the 20s or maybe even with the Giants to get him before the Dolphins if Atlanta doesnt go QB in the 1st round
I see this scenario or a Gholston-Hardy combo to be ideal on our end. The rest of the mock looks top notch, good work Jabba.
whoa that's a huge drop for Matt Ryan. I personally think he'll go to the falcons and i really don't think that he falls past the ravens and especially past the bears. If that happens the vikings may just spooge themselves.
I've been saying this for a while now...When it's all said and done, he will be the stud QB out of this draft. And I seriously doubt he makes it to the 2nd round...
You couldnt ask for a better first day than DMAC and Groves... talk about upgrading the team speed. Great job Jabba.
i know i may very well get flamed for this but i would be ecstatic if the jets take manningham in the second. I know he has some "character issues" but i really don't think it's a big deal. It's nothing on the level of guys like pac man and i don't think it will really carry over into the NFL. I think he can be a total stud in the NFL. He is a great deep threat. He has deceptive speed, great vision with the longball and runs great deep routes. He would add a major home run hitter to this offense and could really help kellen show off his strong arm.
Quick question... Does anybody know if the Patriots slot VALUE (officially) automatically gets passed on down to the Giants and so on and so on throughout the draft? For example for the sake of argument let's say we're thinking about moving up (god-forbid) does our 2nd round pick have a value of 530? Or 520?
they dont value based on pick per round, but overall pick...so the 36 is worth what the 36 is always worth...only its the 5th pick of the round not the 4th
good mock jabba...always enjoy your mock drafts, but i don't think matt ryan will drop that far ravens, panthers, and bears have no excuse to not pick ryan when he gives such great value...
So...if what you're saying is true, then it sounds like they're going to announce that the Patriots forfeited their pick in order to pass on #31, then quote the Giants pick as the 32nd pick of the Draft? I love it. I can't wait to hear the crowd reaction for that.
I would love McFadden and Groves, but I do think that WR, CB, and ILB are all bigger needs than RB or OLB.
I posted this mock in the AM, but I've since heard from two people who are very plugged into the draft that Groves is not sliding due to this heart procedure, not even a little bit, and certainly not to 36 Just passing on what I've heard, so that projection seems less likely now
Cliff Avril RD 2 is an option. Probably could trade down into mid/late Rd 2 and pick up a 3rd rounder and still have a shot at Avril in Rd 2.
Personally, I would really hope for Aquib Talib in that spot. He and Revis could be a grea tandom for a long time.
