I don't think the Redskins would take a reciever after all the money they poured into the position with Moss, Randel El, and Brandon Llyod. They aren't producing, but they still invested alot into them (but then again, you never know with Snyder) And I don't think the Steelers would take a RB when Willie Parker has been more than serviceable. I think the Packers may be looking WR this year considering Driver's age. But, I don't know much about college football or the players, I'm just thinking about the teams needs.
Welcome back, Jabba. Haven't seen you around much recently. Woodley would be a nice pick, we have to address the defensive front seven, unless of course someone like Marshawn Lynch drops to our spot. As far as the board goes, I haven't looked at the draft close enough yet, but is Woodley really rated ahead of Moses? I know many felt at the beginning of the season that Moses was a top 10 caliber player.
Didn't Michael Bush use his medical redshirt this year? I doubt he'd declare off the off year with injury
few hiccups here... 1. Redskins dont need a WR. They need a CB or a DE. Branch or Adams is a sure lock for this Redskins team. 2. Raiders invested too much money in Lamont Jordan to use a top 3 pick on a RB, especially one thats coming off a season ending injury(And may not come out for the 07 draft). If they are smart, they get the Cal Native Sam Baker. 3. Falcons have Miloy as their safety, I think they get the Georgia guy Moses to help the OLB position out. Too many times they have been run on. Then again, a DT wouldent be bad by them. 4. Titans if they skip Ted Ginn should be shot. Sorry, but the Titans needs a playmaker along side with Vince Young. Ginn can kick return, while they can let Pac Man Punt Return. 5. Like the Packers pick, though I can see them reaching for McCauley because of their poor secondary. Their head coach is a defensive minded guy, so he should be gunning for defense. 6. Love the Jets pick. Cant argue with that. 7. 49ers got their DE/OLB in Manny Lawson. Paul Pod. and San Fran would be ideal, especially since they lost Peterson in the offseason. 8. Steelers can use a CB, but since Hope left them they can use another safety to start aside with Polamalu. Laron Laundry sounds like he fits the bill. Nice draft otherwise though.
My early pick for us is Frank Okam, because of so many good 3-4 rushbacker prospects this year in the second and third rounds. Mkristo Bruce, Anthony Spencer, Dan Bazuin, and maybe even Lawrence Jackson with his down year. The Falcons need a run stuffing nose tackle to replace Grady Jackson. Milloy is old, and with LaRon Landry falling that far they have to take him. I doubt the Vikings chance another speed threat with eh hands because Ginn is looking like a Troy Williamson clone. Good job otherwise. Peterson will not stay for his senior season. He's already a top five pick and Oklahoma isn't going to be that much better next year. He'll declare. The Titans have a franchise left tackle in Michael Roos, and David Stewart/Seth Wand are both young. I doubt they take a right tackle that early. The Rams have Leonard Little and Victor Adeyanju (1st day pick). If anything I think they need interior tackles, not ends. If the Saints get Miller, then they have too many options. They need linebackers and defensive tackles, because their offense is stacked. They have two backs, and four quality receivers. Ernie Conwell will do fine as a blocking tightend.
Coleman is still there. He is injured this year I believe, but the dude is right, even with him the Falcons can't stop the run. Coleman is a pass rusher not run stopper.
Pretty solid/accuarte draft except for a few picks. - The Raiders won't use their top pick on a RB. - There's no way that Washington goes for ANOTHER WR after they invested so much into Randle El and Lloyd this offseason. Plus they have Santana Moss. A WR makes little-no sense. - I don't think Tampa goes for a QB, but I guess it makes some sense... - I doubt Pittsburgh takes a RB that early. - Drew Stanton in the first round? - I like that Green Bay uses its first round pick on a RB. - Great picks for San Diego & Denver if either of them last that long.
GREAT STUFF!!!!! I never know why people enter mock draft threads to say "TOO EARLY"... It's NEVER too early... If nothing else you banter names around, get to watch them more this season and through the combine and have a lot more info and knowledge on these players come draft time... of course, then you get the people who enter the thread and say "You can't predict the draft, it's an exercise in futility".... It's NOT about trying to nail a draft, especially this early, it's about learning the players while still getting to see them play a bit. Keep up the good work!!!
