I haven't been posting much lately......hope all you draftniks are doing well. First, I live in Columbus, not a Buckeye fan, just a huge College football fan. I've been watching J Leman for 3 years, since I live in Big Ten country and Leman is an amazing player. I've mentioned last year in this forum, how Leman is going to be a very good NFL player. Leman dominated the Buckeyes last week, his performance was outstanding. Leman really sheds blocks very well, good size 6'3" (I think he's closer to 6'2") 245lbs. and is very strong. I'd love to pick up this guy in Rd 3 a put him in the middle with Harris. Link from Columbus Dispatch: http://www.columbusdispatch.com/liv...is08.ART_ART_11-08-07_C3_MO8DKS6.html?sid=101
I like this guy a lot. Seems to find the ball very quick and wraps up well. I like him a lot has a mid round ILB prospect, along with Spencer Larsen out of Arizona. Both have Mangini guy written all over them, and i think we will be addressing ILB in the 3rd or 4th round, so these guys definitely have a chance of wearing green and white next year.
The Illinois program had been in the toilet till this season. I'm glad we will get to see Leman one more time in a bowl game. With Vilma's days being numbered.......Leman would be a great player next to Harris in the middle. What impressed me about Leman, is how he's strong enough to shed big lineman and make the tackle. I believe his stock is rising and may even fall into the late 2nd rd or early 3rd.
Zook has always been a great recruiter, but finally Illinois let him stay around long enough to develop the talent he brings in...Illinois will be good for a while.
