Jets had been pursuing him aggressively, per Manish: http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/je...rsuing-guard-mike-iupati-blog-entry-1.2142590 He also says the Jets were serious players for Orlando Franklin before he agreed to sign with the Chargers.
Yeah I don't know what the fuck "Jets had been pursuing him aggressively" means but every time I've seen it, it didn't mean a god damn thing.
I've been saying all along they should get Bulaga. if you are paying good money, i'd rather it be at T, and T was our weakest link on the line. let Breno, Aboushi, Dozier, Winters and another vet all compete at G.. or dare I say, consider Oline in the first round as well.. and then get TE Virgil Green to help out in both pass and run blocking!!
Ignoring the offensive line again. Prepare to see them get ravaged 4 times a year by the Bills and Fins. This team is a joke. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah I am starting to wonder what "we will be aggressive in free agency" means. So far we are at 0.00 free agent signings. Idzik did better than that.
Good. I'd rather see Boling or Wisniewski at a much better rate. Iupati seems to be a force in the run game, but average at best as a pass blocker. I think we'll look back in a few years and see that he probably wasn't worth the 8.5M/yr price tag
makes me wonder how much location was a factor. remember jets fans, we got cash to burn but theres more to it than that. a couple million more may seem trivial next to going to a team/city you want.
