I know this doesn't really warrent its own thread, but with everything thats happened this season and how Players like Revis, Mangold and Sanchez, (to name but a few) are progressing , and now adverts on TV for the next round of the play-offs , it feels kind of surreal. There are just so many good things happening with our team , now and for the future, I have to keep pinching myself that this is the New and improved Jets . Even going up against the #1 seed in the Chargers does not seem that daunting a task. This working week is going to seem extra long. The one down side (Jets fans can always find one :wink is that I have to book yet another day off in my dwindling holiday entitlement.:jets:
Agreed, Especially since I turned 21 in May, it makes this all the more enjoyable now that I can actually go to a bar and drink (legally)
These are the type of threads that are great this time of year. Very excited for this team to shock some people.
Yeah, it is mind-boggling. Its the 2nd week of January and the Jets are one of 4 teams in the AFC still playing....Its a great time to be a Jets fan!!
I keep saying "Why not us?" over and over. Anything can happen. Why not us? I don't want to think about the offseason, the draft, free agency, or anything else right now. I'm just enjoying the ride for as long as it lasts and I'm thankful that we finally have a coach who makes us believe. Watching the Pats gets dismantled yesterday was pretty nice too.
You young uns have nothing on me. I was born in 1970. You think YOUR in Dreamland? I'm in state of Nirvana, just pissed I had to wait this long. I feel something very special. I sure hope it's not my mind playing tricks on me.
If Mark keeps playing like this, the sky truly is the limit. I was hoping for him too, watching the post game presser getting in a little shot at his old coach was great.
At least you were alive and got to see Namath play. I can barely remember Namath actually playing, my first real Jet memories are with Richard Todd.
Agreed. Its an exciting time to be a Jet fan, and those moments are usually few and far between for us. Usually this time of the year is spent watching my friends teams play.... The great thing is we have a good core of young talented players... So...let the good times roll.
I live near the Capital of Patriots Nation and let me tell you, it's pretty sweet to come in to work today with my team still alive in the Playoffs after the Pats got humiliated at home. No way I would have thought this was possible when the Jets were in their mid-season swoon.
oh so very very true. our core is filled with young on the rise talented players and with what hopefully will become an elite QB in Sanchez, we could be looking at an unprecedented 5-7 year run like the Jets have never dared to dream was possible
No doubt there. The only area of our team with serious age issues is the D-line. I'm expecting that to change with this draft. Its good to be a jets fan right now.
This has been set up to be the most dream like season I've ever been in. Everthing starting with getting Rex to the draft and FA and the team itself. These are not the same NYJs they are real nasty on defense and I expected us to be ranked #4 or #5 at most. #1 WOW!!. And the simple fact that everything seems to be laid out for us to get to the SB. Pinch me, I'm still dreamin and it all happened so fast I'm still tring to absorb some of the thing that happened early in the season.
It's easy to compare us with the 04 Jets but I think this team's future is way brighter than that team's win or loss cus we have an elite X's and O's guy running our team and a rookie QB getting us here
