That's the difference between the Jets and teams like the Pats and Falcons. We have all the talent in the world to curbstomp our way to a SB, yet Belichick is dominating the league with Brady and a group of journeymen. Good teams play solid against other good teams and beat crappy teams with authority. The Jets have done neither of these two things all year long, in addition to consistently producing stupid penalties, lackadaisical play from key positions, retarded offensive play-calling and more. As much as we all love Rex, he plays "best buddy" to these guys more so than being the tough-ass coach you need to be to lead this team to the promised land. Belichick might be an asshole, but he's a genius asshole who knows how to lay down the law and get the most out of his players. Players want to play with him not because he's a fat lovable guy who screams obscenities and potty words, but because he fucking WINS. That's what separates a SB-winning coach from a pretender. I love Rex, and he's done incredible things with this defense, but he still has a LOT to learn as a HC. Much of it will come with time (he's only in his second year after all) but let's not pretend he's a SB-winning HC just yet. He has four weeks to get this team's ass in gear or else this team will be a laughingstock for all the hype they got coming into this season.
