I’m so amped this is one of my favourite couple of days in the year. All the time watching prospects and college ball. Debating with employees, guys on message boards and buddies on prospects. Ready to see where these kids go and proud of all of them for reaching their dream! JD hit a few homers for us! Change is now! ALL GAS NO BREAK!!!
I'm with ya!! I can't believe we've finally made it to draft day. I'm so excited to see who JD adds over the next 3 days. Here's to hoping we build up a strong foundation with this draft that sets us up for success going forward!
Ya it’s finally here and we can all stop beating a dead horse and really get an inside look at JDs philosophy on building a team from the ground up. It’s year 1 of this rebuild so I have a strong feeling he’s going to build from the inside out. Can’t wait to see what he does with 23/34/66 those 3 picks are really important and will give us a lot of knowledge on what type of team JD and Saleh are looking to build
My sincere hope is that we go offense-heavy with our premium picks today and tomorrow. I know we have holes at CB and LB but there are still plenty of viable FA options at CB that can hold the fort down for a year and plenty of mid-late round LB prospects that I think Saleh can work with and mold into viable starters. We need a big time infusion of young talent on the offensive side of the ball at every position. No offensive position should be off the table at 23, 34, 66, or 86 IMO (other than QB).
I'm excited, but whose idea was it to hold the first round on Thursday? I should go to work in the morning, but seriously thinking of taking a sick day so I can watch the entire first round. I want to witness the dawn of an new era which starts today!
The long wait is almost over. Let's hope that whoever we pick has the drive and skill necessary to bring this team out of the gutter.
I'm so glad that I have family visiting this weekend. They're coming into town tomorrow so I've had tomorrow scheduled off for awhile now. One of my best decisions in recent memory haha The bourbon will be flowing tonight ladies and gentlemen!!
The high point of the year for the Jets - typically it's downhill from here. I hope we reverse that trend! I'm a bit nervous about drafting Wilson - I don't have great vibes - but I'll obviously root for his success once drafted
We are in the same boat Jay. I am a Fields guy myself but will hope Wilson to work out if he is the pick. I trust Joe D and Salah. To me that's what's different this year than any other year.
not too excited cause there isn't much intrigue at the top for the jets.....imagine if there weren't any QB's worth their salt and we had the hi pick we do. There would certainly be some intrigue and this place would be nuts. oh well, maybe next year. LOL.
I miss the old Saturday noon (EST) start time for the NFL draft for the first 3 rounds and then the rest of the draft being held Sunday afternoon.
