Is there any way to change established players' positions?

IE...Brad Smith. Not that I'm looking to sub him in for Chad, but I'd like to keep him as the #3 behind Clemens and just dump Ramsey for a draft pick.
I tried editing his position, but it wouldn't let me change it to QB.
I'm sure this has been answered and I'm just late to the party.
    BTW...for an old Xbox system.

write down all of his attributes, then make a new player and have his position set to QB with the exact same build-up (fix the haircut though)

nooo....you cant change position unless you have the amount needed for the position. For example....you need 4 WR's. If you have 4 on ur roster you cant make Brad Smith a different position. If you have 5 WR then you can because you still will have the 4 need to have the position fiilled.

I too wanted to do this with Brad Smith. It'd be fun to have him play some QB in my game, but it's not possible. Unless ofcoruse you can change his postion totally to QB, whihc I don't think you'd want to do.

BUT, what mparty said sounds diff. then what I said....I'll have to do what he said and see what happens.

In regards to what mparty said, does that mean Brad Smith would still be one of the 4 out of 5 WRS and then can play QB?

I thought he meant he wants to change his position to QB. So he would not be one of the WR.

I'm really shocked that Eric Barton is an 87 MLB, yet only an 82 or 83 OLB. I think he should've been much more even, like 87 and 85 or so

If you had it for PC you could edit any attribute or position of any player :)
