Nothing the jets have done with the qb situation has made sense all year. I don't expect it to start making sense now.

Simms will be the product of a good OLine ahead of him. That's a not a knock on Simms at all, but he isn't agile enough to start scrambling like Vick and Geno. Its on the OLine and WR getting separation because Simms will make the proper read and can throw a decent enough ball.

The Chiefs are a very good pass rush team, I would let Simms get next week vs Pittsburgh a team that isn't as good when going after the QB.

The only thing that makes sense is to start Geno Smith the rest of the year to evaluate him, now that he's got good receivers and a good running game. If he can't produce with the players we now have around him, just let him go and start over at the QB position. There's always the 2015 draft.

As for Matt ..... if Phil Simms' son wasn't even drafted, and hasn't done anything in the NFL for several years now, there's obviously a reason for that. He's barely 3rd string material, nothing more.

I would be MUCH more interested in watching this team if Simms played instead of those other two. Seriously, why not? Give him first team reps and let him play.

I don't think he made a case for himself today. He moved the team a little but not that much. No big plays and he overthrew receivers.

Dude the steelers absolutely mauled Andrew luck and the colts offensive line last week. What are you talking about not getting after the QB

It makes perfect sense, and Rex will have none of it.

He made a couple of passes across the field. He missed on almost every other pass. Even a ball control QB has to throw it sometimes.

No, one went off Kerleys hands and the second he stopped on the route.

No reason not to start him. Then again, there was no reason not to let him play out the 4th quarter today.

A good organization sees what Simms brings to the table.

The Jets will probably go back to Smith next week.

fuck geno smith! we just watched him be the worst qb in the league for a year and a half! that's enough evaluation!

send him to the arena league because he's not a fucking nfl qb.

Screw geno. He should be inactive the rest of the year.

He's a little rusty, been on the PS all year. Give him some time with the ones.
Can you honestly say his passes were more off target than Vicks?

We have to find out if he can be a #2 or if we dump him.

at this point we might as well get a look-see however our gm is desperate to save his job and we'll be stuck with vick simply because he gives us a slightly better chance at winning a few games. sad state, we can't evaluate our young players nor win games.
