    I'm so sick of hearing about our "tough" schedule. We have no idea at this point if it is tough or not and if I am going to try to analyze it now I wouldn't think it was tough at all.

    We play the NFC east, outside of Philly do any teams really scare you? We finish with Cleveland, NE, Tenn, KC. Outside of NE, at this point not a scary finish. This years schedule has potential to be just as "easy" as last years..

    New England - SB Contenders
    @Baltimore - Probably going to be pretty good
    Miami - Could be horrible
    @Buffalo - Unknown, offense is scary, D is scary for them
    @N.Y. Giants - Could be horrible
    Philadelphia - Probably pretty good
    @Cincinnati - Probably pretty good
    Buffalo - Unknown, offense is scary, D is scary for them
    Washington - Could be horrible
    Pittsburgh - First year coach, who the hell knows
    @Dallas - First year coach, who the hell knows
    @Miami - Could be horrible
    Cleveland - Could be horrible
    @New England - SB Contenders
    @Tennessee - Could be horrible
    Kansas City - Could be horrible

    Vision you are 100% on the money my man. I always laugh at the people who like to go game by game and decide whether its a win or loss in August.....so retarded.....there are so many intangibles...we could end up having the hardest schedule or the easiest schedule depending on how things develop

    Whatever the case, I think the schedule is not going to be as easy as you put it, Vision. Aside from NE, Baltimore picked up McGahee - and the bastard loves playing the JETS for some reason, maybe because of Vilma at Miami. Philly and Cincy aren't probably going to be good, they are and will be. McNabb is back and Reid has proven that he can produce with whatever team he's given. Cincy will miss Henry, but they will be tough regardless.

    Pitt and Dallas are under new coaches, but the team's aren't going through major changes. Willie Parker is a force and Big Ben will be healthy (most likely). Dallas has the other Jones and Barber in the backfield - not to mention Romo and his core of receivers.

    Don't get me wrong - I personally think we're going to have a great year, but it's by no means an easy schedule.

    Even if you don't believe the Jets are Superbowl contenders this season, you gotta believe at this point that the Jets can take the Chiefs, the Browns, the Skins, the Titans, the Giants and the Dolphins. The Jets will take at least one from Buffalo. And they've gotta eke out a win here and there against the other tougher teams. That comes out to 10 wins.

    I personally think that we will see the Super Bowl within the next 5 years; honestly. But I don't think we can refer to the other teams as possible failures. I think we'll be tough enough to take 2 from the Bills again. Plus we're at Buffalo in September, which is HUGE weather wise. I also think we have legitimate chances against some of the big boys like Cincy, Philly, and even Game 1 against NE. Week 2 is a big test.

    Supposedly Thomas Jones was seen running on the beach with 45 pound combat boots on, while having a friend dressed in a Ray Lewis uniform chase him.

    My point isn't that it is an easy schedule, it is that we have no idea if it is hard or easy in mid July. If we are going to analyze it game by game in mid July than it looks easier than it does hard.

    In mid July I am looking at 3 games that you know are against really good teams. The two against NE and the game against Baltimore, btw two of those games will be done by wk 3.

    You say Philly & Cincy are guaranteed to be good. I say how? McNabb has been hurt every year, how do we know he won't be hurt Oct 14th, they don't have a Jeff garcia to save them this year.

    Cincy?? how do we know they will be good? based on last years underacheiving 8-8 and the fact that they have downgraded in talent?

    Pitt & Dallas were both average teams last year and have both taken a step back in the coaching depts.. Right now Pitt scares me more than Dallas but who knows how they will repond to their first new HC in about 15 years. A step back from last years average team is realistic.

    It could be the hardest schedule in the world or it could be the easiest. We won't find out in mid July though.

    I hear you...and as we all know a lot can happen from now and September.

    Week 1 & 2 should be a very interesting week; I think Mangini will have those guys in the best shape of their lives before the start of the season.

    Philly, regardless of McNabb and Garcia in my opinion will be tough. But Mcnabb has extra motivation behind him this year after the Eagles went with Kolb on their first pick. They will be tough. Their D is always tough and Westbrook as an 80 plus reception back that will have another solid year.

    How will Cincy not be tough? Given, they completely fell off in the second half of last year, but Carson Palmer is a year removed from his injury and Rudy Johnson is a force. TJ Whosyourmama and Johnson is a tough duo to overlook.

    Dallas will be tough because we're there on Thanksgiving day - it's automatic. Pitt will be on a rebound year looking all right after a dismal year.

    The thing that scares me is we were horrible at home but very successful on the road last year. With like 6 home games in the first 8-10 weeks that won’t baud well. (I’m counting the Giants game as a home game) You guys may think Im crazy ,but I feel 13-3 is possible. I plot out the games every year and last year I got 2 wrong the entire season. The year before I got 4 wrong.

    ill only add to those i disagree with, or have a difference in opinion....

    New England - SB Contenders

    @Baltimore - Probably going to be pretty good going to be much better this year imo...improved running game will key the O

    Miami - Could be horrible i think the phish (if they get a healthy green) could be much better than the last 2 years. spoilers for sure imo

    @Buffalo - Unknown, offense is scary, D is scary for them

    @N.Y. Giants - Could be horrible this team could be one of the worst in the piss poor NFC...too many questionmarks for TC....would have had too many Qs right after the season, let alone now. Phi/Dal have improved solid teams, and the giants regressed....going to be a long year for big blue

    Philadelphia - Probably pretty good

    @Cincinnati - Probably pretty good

    Buffalo - Unknown, offense is scary, D is scary for them if lych fits in, and JP plays the way he can, the O will be sick. if they can get their D in shape, should have a pretty good football team here

    Washington - Could be horrible ive marked this down as the game we can lose to a lesser team that at seasons end we all say "washington kept us out of the playoffs"

    Pittsburgh - First year coach, who the hell knows agree, sort of. pitt should be a much improved squad....i mean, they are 2 years removed from the SB win....theres more than enough talent on that team. big pressures on big ben this year.

    @Dallas - First year coach, who the hell knows big D improved the team, but nobody knows the real romo....is it the first half phenom, or the second half sputterer....i think he will be the question even above if WP can get his shit together.

    @Miami - Could be horrible see above

    Cleveland - Could be horrible much improved from that bad team that beat us last year. we should have won that game though. will def be a stronger team this year though. what they are though, nobody really knows yet....at this point in the season the NFL will know what it has on its hands.

    @New England - SB Contenders

    @Tennessee - Could be horrible could be shit, but i think they will be bad, but not awful. theres a million reasons to think they will suck, and only one to think they might be decent....VY....probably shit though....too bad too, b/c i like VY

    Kansas City - Could be horrible i dont see the team being awful. middle of the road is their ceiling though imo. i dont think the LJ situation will amount to much....hes not gonna miss his chance to bank on this year....unless hes an idiot. the OL isnt as good as it was a year ago, and that will probably show though.....i think they will end up around or at .500.....but not above it....7-9, 8-8 ar the tops for this herm lead team.

    our sched has the chance to be pretty viscous....and it also has the ability to be easier than a lot think. god i cant wait till kickoff....

    Good topic, i think it's funny as well that everyone says tough schedule. I think many of those teams are a coin flip as to whether they will be good or not. Many of them have more potential to be bad. I actually like playing the Patriots the first game of the year, we may have a better chance of winning that one because many times the Pats don't really get going until the second month.

    Dolphins are gonna be the worst team in the league this year. Personal hatred aside (as best I can anyway) they just made some dumb decisions and gotten way worse.

    Defense is getting old and slow and basically is the only they had going for them the last 5-10 years, those days are long gone. Taylor is solid, but beside him there is some serious holes.

    They hired the wrong coach IMO. Cameron was a good offensive coordinator in SD dont get me wrong, but anyone can look good with the talent on that roster. Hell, give me LT alone and I could prolly make a good offense. Not only that, in his only head gig he sucked horribly. I know Indiana U. is a pretty tough place to win at, but a good (future) NFL coach shoulda had a better showing. Also, he basically blew the NE playoff game cause of his stupid play calling- everyone and their mother was yelling at the T.V. for him to keep feeding LT.

    Next, Trent Green was a bad pickup. They would have been better off playing that Cleo Lemon guy we played last year on christmas, all season instead of wasting their time with Green. He's old, beat up, and really not that good at all. You think K.C. would have dumped him for freakin Brodie Croyle and Huard if he wasnt completely finished? Not too mention they have Hermie as coach who loves veterans to death and wouldnt think of starting a 3rd round pick at QB unless the vet was completely shot.

    the dolphins need a complete rebuilding job, not a patch-up like they have been doing every year.

    3-13 this season

    (now having said that, they'll prolly win the freakin bowl lol)
