I love the guy and think he has the potential to be a 1,300 yard workhorse. But a couple times this year when he's gotten some carries he's been banged up enough to miss some time. Ribs, hip, knee...nothing major but still if you're relying on him to be the guy and build the running game around his style, you need him in there. It very well could be a product of him being a rookie and not used to the NFL-level hits but still I think it bears asking.

I'm on the anti-Thomas Jones bandwagon after the last few weeks but it's something to consider that behind Greene you'd only have Leon who's a question mark himself. I wouldn't go so far as to say RB is a need but if you jettison Jones for a team that runs the ball close to 60% of the time, the position would be on the thin side.

the way he runs he's going to get nicked up

thats why it's important to have 3 RB's next year

Greene runs with reckless abandon....meaning....he looks to destroy people that get in his path (i.e Eric Weddle). Despite the respect garnered from the fanbase and his production, this running style will certainly shorten his career.

This guys is horse. He just took a pop to the wrong area and got nicked up. I do agree though that we need to 3 RBs for next year. Jones, Greene, and Washington will be awesome!!!!!!!

I don't think he's injury prone, he just won't be able to carry it 25 times every game. We need a 3 back system with Greene, Leon, and TJ.

Jacobs is 6-4, Greene is 5-11 so I don't think Shonn can be compared to Brandon except that they like to hit and not take hits.

This was Shonn's first NFL season he's probably just getting used to bigger, faster opponents.

Shonn's "littel" brick shithouse stature should help him sustain a long career.

first off it we do not hear that Greene hasa serious injury alla broken ribs or some strained cartledge I will be pissed. We were in the biggest game of our life and he was on the sidelines------dont get me wrong I love the guy but if was able to get back in HE SHOULD HAVE! Time will tell on the seriousness and hopefully he will be ok but Thomas Jones played yesterday with 2 knee braces on!!!! Thanks TJ
