Andre Johnson was missing in action last week and now he holds moss to 4 catchs 24 yards.... thats 2 of the best receivers in the league shut down week to week and his amazing int over moss... hes a force to be that i feel is fully recognized by the nfl yet.

Are you suggesting that he isn't being praised around the NFL? He did make the Pro Bowl last year.

He hasn't been viewed to be on the level of Asomugha etc yet. I think that's what this thread is about

I think he's already regarded as one of the best in the game. What more do you want? I mean, they could retire his number right now, but I feel as though that might annoy Revis.

Well, that's hardly the same thing as saying that he hasn't been recognized. I don't know if he's on that level yet, but he's obviously already one of the top 2 or 3 CBs in the league, and I think everyone knows it.

Rest assured, the people who count in the NFL (read: the players and coaches) know just how good Revis is.

Watching Brady stare down Moss only to see him covered time and time again was absolutely beautiful today.

I think hes recognized in the league its just that hes not on the patriots or any of the high profile media favorites so the media doesnt really drool over him

It takes a while for CBs to make a name for themselves (at least among the general public), especially guys like Revis who don't showboat. Asomugha didn't start to get his props until 2007 and he's the same as Revis, very humble guy who doesn't draw attention to himself.

he doesn't get attention because he doesn't get a lot of picks. look at finnegan. he is a bad LCB and he gets tons of praise.

Let him stay under the radar and shut down #1 receivers every week. Fuck praise.
