i think we lost this game because we just got unlucky. 2 fumbles by big ben, 0 recovered by us. 2 interceptions, another 1 dropped by kyle wilson, another 1 dropped by revis, another 1 tipped at the goal line by eric smith when revis would have intercepted. untimely drops by braylon, jerricho and keller. westerman about .5 inches from blocking a punt. sanchez about .1 second from an incomplete pass instead of a TD for the steelers. if any one of these plays went our way, i think we would have won. instead, we were plagued by bad luck all day. an untimely slip here, a lucky tip there, bounces that all went the other way. it hurts so much because it was just the bounces of the game.
this team has been lucky for 3 months ......being unlucky isn't in this team's DNA. We just didn't play well.
Im not a fan of excuses. First and foremost we lost because our defense failed. The poor calls fucking sucked, but when you dont show up till the second half we could of overcame all these things.
It's not bad luck that caused Mendenhall to get over 100 yards in the first half, mostly after contact. That's just bad play by the Jets.
Unlucky??? Are you kidding? 1 yd rushing in the entire first half is not unlucky, it's piss-poor coaching. If Schotty is the OC next year we might as well just throw in the towel in week 1.
I disagree. You make your own luck. We were manhandled at the line and missed tackles in the first half. Also two key plays the revis dropped Int and the Sanchez fumble in my opinion were bad execution ( rev is should have caught the ball) and play calling ( should have ran the. Ball on third and long there
hey, the defense played bad the first half, gave up a ton of yardage. the offense couldn't do anything the first half, but all i'm saying is we made enough plays to win if we only got a timely bounce just once this game. unfortunately, we didn't.
It doesn't matter how lucky/unlucky we were. We had an opportunity to get the ball back at the end of the game and we failed to stop them.
Unlucky that they came out like a slap dick team in the first half? Unlucky that Pittsburgh played well in all phases in the 1st half? If by unlucky you mean they played like horseshit and made their own bad luck then I agree.
