He is a black and white cookie.

Espn told me all about it. Its is what makes him great.

That and his lunch eating skills.

I'd give it to Morneau or Dye, depending on which team makes the playoffs. If they both do I give it to Dye.

IMO Santana is the MVP. They guy has carried his team since the break.

But Pitchers have their own award, so its moot.

I'm glad there's finally a poll on this because we haven't discussed this ad naseum in 5 other threads. I'm also totally shocked by the poll results thus far.

Pronk. All this bullshit about "Most Valuable not Best" is stupid. It's just a name. It's still the award for best player. And Hafner is a pimp machine.

IMHO, Santana leading all pitchers in those categories also has alot to do with the fact that the rest of the AL is not very dominant. I mean, when Guidry had his PHENOMINAL year in '78, at this point he had like, what 23 wins and a 1.9 ERA???

While I agree the AL sucks. Santana is having quite the year.

No he isnt. 18 wins at this point is a GOOD year. It is barely a GREAT year, and surely is NOT mvp worthy.

Doc Gooden in '85. THAt was MVP caliber.

I find it hard to give it to Jeter when they have one of the best hitting lineups ever.
