Noticed on the NY Daily News site that LC is up to his usual stroppy best , saying " he needs time" and standing away from the rest of the players....

Is it me or is this guy unreal , he bitches about every little thing and now that noodle arm is gone after we ( heaven forbid ) try to improve the franchise he is acting like a 3yr old who has haD there transformer taken off them.

Seriously this guy needs to get on the page with the rest of them or take his whiny ass out of NY.

Coles is Coles. Hes always been that way, and will continue to be that way. But the guy backs up his words on the football field which is why his 'words' go largly unpunished.
Of course the media love nothing better than to whip it it up and push back in PCs
It'll blow over. Sure hes doing cartwheels inside

He wasn't so upset about being off Chad's team when Washington were handing out the $$$

Ha ha! I think he should start posting messages here... He'd feel right at home!

I cannot believe that this guy, who now has a chance to enter history with a truly great QB, is pulling this prima donna crap.

    He's even stupider than me!

He wears his heart on his sleeve, thats it. I would prefer to work with somebody like that, rather than have someone knifing people in the back.

Whoah! Sounds like your office environment is not so great. Hope that situation improves soon, pilgrim.

Anyhow, with overpaid, overpraised and overprotected professional athletes like L. Coles... I'm not too worried. As many other poster on this board have pointed out--there seems to be some depth to the WR position.

Coles was and always will be our squeaky wheel. That's what he does. Another thing he does is go all out every Sunday. That's why he's captain. No worries, he'll continue to be what he's always been, maybe even better:wink:

    BINGO!
Thats why they let him run his mouth off, he backs it up.

Its nice to see someone on the Jets with fire in his belly. Its made me SICK listening to Chad, KC et al all being SO F'N Nice to eachother.

This seems to happen every season. For some reason people like to pretend that this is a soap opera with Lavernues Coles as a problem.

He's a profesional. He can disagree with something that happened while still going about his job like he should.

Coles has always had an adversarial relationship with the press. I remember when he was a rookie and he declared that he wouldn't talk to the press because of how they distorted everything he said. It seems as though the press was always after him about something, trying to provoke a reaction from him. I guess they felt that it would make good copy. After all, the guy did come into the league with some question marks about his character (something about a sporting goods store and some Miami players if I remember correctly) and he does have a tattoo of the word "Trouble" on his arm. I guess that it's easier to typecast somebody than to fine out what really makes them tick. As for me, all I need to know that when it comes to game time, he will give 100% on every play even if it means going across the middle and taking the big hit. To be honest, there are times when I wish we had more players like that.

Yes, Coles is talented, but he is no T.Owens or C.Johnson. His act is old. Obviously, the team needs him this season, but priority #2 next offseason (behind QB-of-the future) should be replacing him. Perhaps he would like to play in Miami.

Yeah, his act reminds me of someone else now on the team. Any idea who that might be?:rofl:

Favre played 16 years for one organization, won a title and multiple MVPs, he should be given much more latitude than a good, not great WR.

(I am not saying Favre was completely right in the situation, but why the Packers just didn't give him his job back at the beginning of July is ridiculous)

When I look at the young recievers on our roster I feel like Coles is expendable.
