Even though Len Dawson and Nick Buoniconti weren't the first on Inside The NFL, they were the best. The classic NFL music, the classic announcing covering the week's highlights, waiting for the Jets segment (usually the lowlights), the smashmouth element of down in the dirt knuckle-bleeding-mud-flying close ups NOT in digital but real REEL film, there was nothing like it. I only bothered a couple of times since and I probably wouldn't ever bother again, except maybe once to prove to myself what I already know: total garbage. It's not that I didn't pirate HBO, mind you. Just not that. Anyway, I would gladly watch OLD re-runs on a loop, though! That would be a mind-bending blast to hear some of those old names and watch old footage. Sigh.
yup. we're becomong our paremnts bemoaning the good old days. sports as a whole is losing its allure to me.
I used to like it but there’s honestly way too many options for football media at this point and I’m so consumed with it during the weekends that I barely watch any shows during the week.
