Anyone going to see it this weekend? In spite of the critics, I already got my tickets and reserved seating although I'm passing on the 3D. Will be there early Sunday afternoon with wifey and a large ridiculously buttered popcorn!
Have fun, itll probably be a summer flick. Hopefully fun and packed with action like the original. The Will Smith son in this movie does look bad at acting though
I never liked the original and always felt there wasn't real demand or interest in a sequel. It's tracking at only $43 million for the weekend. The original made $50 million in 20 years ago money. Though it's funny the $43 million is being considered a flop, yet the press is desperate to call the $40-50 million ghostbusters is tracking at a hit despite both costing relatively the same. The media's desperation to make Ghostbusters a hit is hysterical.
I saw Central Intelligence with The Rock and Kevin Hart instead. It actually was a pretty funny movie. The Rock has more comedic ability than he is given credit for.
I actually like him as an actor. Hes really not bad at all. He doesnt appear to be a douche either. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
I think he's great for what he does. Not sure how he'd translate to a serious dramatic part but he really is an entertaining actor. _
Youre right, i think he picks roles that fit him. The most dramatic role hes done was that movie snitch. Thats probably about the limit for him. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
He would be good in a roll like Stallone in Copland. That was his first serious role in a serious movie and he was great. Love to see the Rock do something like that. _
He would do good in something like. Tho i would like to forget the tooth fairy. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
Whats your favorite pie? I can't wait until the Rock does Black Adam for the Shazaam DC movies. The Rock is awesome.
My wife and I also enjoyed CI, it was silly but that's why we go to the movies. Ride Along 2 was very funny also. Kevin Hart is on fire right now, strike while the irons hot I guess.
Probably the initial weekend numbers for good or bad based on the budget: Budget for Ghostbusters: 154 million Budget for Independence Day 2: 200 million The acting in the Ghostbusters preview is so cringe worthy. Who the hell is going to see that garbage? Some movies should never be remade and Ghostbusters was one of them.
I read ID2's budget is $165. Probably $200 with marketing, but that wouldn't be a lot, though it hasn't actually gotten much marketing. Of course ghostbusters should be remade. Look how much creativity is brought to the festivities by simply making them women. It's sheer brilliance!
The original ID4 movie was pretty good for the first 20 minutes. The rest of it was entertainment for the brain dead.
