Inconsistency doesn't warrant a QB being a bust, nor does leading the nfl in pick 6's. Of all of the young QBs; Ryan, Flacco, Freeman, Stafford, Bradford, Sanchez, they have all had big problems with inconsistency this year. Are any of their fan bases "looking for their replacement" ? Every single one of those QBs, aside from Sanchez, Has regressed this season. Almost without a legitimate reason. At least Sanchez has two valid reasons. Stafford has thrown 6 pics in the last two games. If he was JET this board would be a complete shit storm. Matt Ryan has the same exact stats with Sanchez, With Sanchez with more yards and Ryan with a higher completion percentage. Sanchez is not the only one. If you don't support the QB then you don't support the team. If you can't keep a level head and do the research and come to an educated conclusion regarding Sanchez's struggles and are ready to can him, You are not a true fan. So GTFO and don't let the door hit you on the way out. How quickly we forget what Sanchez has done for this organization
In before some idiot jumps in to say "Any of those QBs would be doing better than Sanchez in this offense."
Stafford's had 6 picks in his last 4 quarters, let's wait until after this game to see how many in 2 games.
Well if the OC was truly the problem (which I believe is) that statement is completely unfounded and idiotic.
What exactly has he done? Please try to make the case how Sanchez singlehandedly won 4 playoff games. This is like Finheavan level of delusions.
This is total bullshit. You want to be a blind fan who will cheer for whatever team puts the uniform on and be supportive of every guy because they're "your team", you go right ahead. There are basics, fundamentals of paying various positions, especially QB, that anyone who had been around the game can identify as faulty. Sanchez is more consistent that inconsistent. He consistently makes the same mistakes he always has, he consistently is unaware of when pressure is coming and where his escape route is...he consistently is in such a hurry to get the ball out of his hands that he misses open receivers. A lot of us spend a lot of time and money on this team, we are well aware of who the players are and he amount of talent that has been assembled. When they routinely come out and shit the bed, and we see teams in the league with less talent playing with heart, grit, and determination every week, how in he hell do you support that. To do so is completely ludicrous. Keep supporting Sanchez. I'll wait until he plays NFL football like an NFL quarterback.
If Sanchez had poor play in any of those playoff games we would have lost. Go rewatch the highlights of those games and look at the throws Mark made. Single handedly got us into field goal range to win us the game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LR_FhlfaI-Y I can keep going if you'd like?
I'm sorry I should have clarified my statement for all the dense people out there. When people make the silly argument of Sanchez winning 4 road playoff games they're full of shit. The defense won those games with Sanchez just along for the ride.
Who gives a shit how many picks Stafford or Flacco throws? It's completely irrelevant. All that matters is what Sanchez does, and his performance hasn't been good enough this year. Sanchez's inconsistency cost the Jets a must-win game on Thursday, so I can't agree with you that inconsistency from the QB isn't important. This is complete horseshit.
We had no defensive touchdowns in those four playoff games. Sanchez put enough points on the board to win the game. Thats how the game of football works.
How about we focus on the main point of this thread? Sanchez isn't significantly better or worse than his peers. Anyone who wants to get rid of him now is being a fool.
Cause I said I support every single player blindly right? If you can't put faith in your QB, its nearly impossible to put faith in the team. Having faith in the team when it breaks down to it is why you are a fan. It's extremely hard to support a team but not one of their most important players.
It is relevant because it shows people have unrealistic expectations and that where is a better replacement unless you find Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady? As I'm typing this Flacco throws a pick.
It doesn't matter he made the throw. Thats what his job was at that given time. Make the throw and get us into field goal range and thats exactly what he did.
Ahhhh, so you begin to understand what is meant by "team effort", then. Very good... Very good indeed.
I'm sorry your standards are low. I do get it though, I really do. After seeing that thread of past Jet QB's most Jet fans wouldnt know what a good QB looks like. I also understand the concept of a QB driven league.
